Nessa moved through the forest following the trail that Lucian led Alexander and the Waters on earlier in the day. As they came up to the pond that Lucian would have stopped at, she picked up Lukas' scent but acted as though she had not caught it. The three men with her glanced quickly at each other as they had picked up his scent, and she had not made any sign that she had caught it.
As they walked out of the tree line next to the pond, the three men behind her moved slightly into a position that would make it easier for them to grab her.
