Chapter 12

Great. He's leaving and we're fighting. I need to put aside my ego.
"I'm sorry. I'm just pissed off."
He chuckled. He reached for my hand and said, "I'm sorry I couldn't watch your game. I need to be there as soon as possible since mom and the one who's taking care of it left.
"He'll come back soon though and we'll back to our normal days again." He smiled.
I feel really sad that he's leaving. No one will bother me anymore and no one will be there whenever I need help.
"I'll call you everyday. If you still have some questions on your thesis or something you can't do, I'll do it. Just send me the files through e-mail, I'll finish it in a day." He said.
That's what he worries about. I can do my thesis, it's just that time I was procrastinating and pressured. I smiled weakly and squeezed his hand a bit.
"What if you find someone better? Like more beautiful and sexy?"
He sighed.
"You're the most beautiful woman in my eyes. Nothing can change that."
He really knows how to give butterflies to my stomach. I wish he'd keep his word. I trust him, but I don't trust other women.
Well that was a tiring night. I let him sleep in my room every night now, but we don't always do it. He's surprisingly respectful and I notice that I kinda always initiate for things to happen.
The next day is Saturday and today, we're going to the beach! We're now on our way and I feel so excited. I never really get to go out of town or something.
When I went to New York, that was the first time I traveled alone after fifteen years? I do party a lot here in out town though.
"I also want you to meet someone. She owns the resort that we'll be staying at."
We're staying here overnight? He didn't told me, but that excites me more. But she?
"Who's she?"
"My cousin, baby."
Oh. I thought a friend or an ex. I'm getting kinda sleepy. We left the house at five in the morning. I lean my head on his shoulders since he's holding my hands.
"You sleepy?"
I just nodded and close my eyes.
"I'll wake you up when we get there. Sleepwell, baby,"
That's the last thing I heard from him before I sleep.

I woke up and I looked at Caleb. He's browsing on his phone and didn't wake me at all. How long has it been since we arrived?
"Caleb?"
"Good morning lovely,"
"Why didn't you wake me? How long have you been waiting?"
"It's been two hours since we arrived. I didn't wanna wake you up since you must be tired from yesterday's training."
He never fails to give butterflies to my stomach every goddamn time. I smiled and give him a peck on the lips.
He opened the car door for me and took are bag from the backseat. I looked around and wow! Just wow! The resort looks really chill and fancy.
I can see the beach from here. I can't wait to swim! I want to take a pictures later, but I'm kind of shy to ask Caleb.
"Caleb!" A woman ran towards him and hugged him.
She looks like she's in thirties. She's older than I expected, I thought she's in the same age with me or Caleb.
"Melissa, this is my soon to be girlfriend, Celena."
"Nice to finally meet you!" Melissa hugged me and I hugged her back.
I smiled when she finally let me go.
"God, you're so pretty! What the hell did Caleb do? did he use a love potion on you or anything?"
"Melissa!"
They both laughed and I laughed to. Shouldn't I be the one she's asking? I mean Caleb is a gorgeous man.
"I'll take you to your cottages."
Cottages? You mean we're not in the same cottage? I looked at Caleb and he looked at me too. He's eyes is asking me what's wrong.
I shook my head and look ahead.
"Are you disappointed?" He asked, teasing me.
I frowned. We stay in the same room in our house, and I'm used to him sleeping by my side. It's not like we're gonna do something.
"Melissa, I'm sorry, but can you transfer us to a bigger cottage?"
"One cottage for the both of you?"
Caleb nodded.
"Oh, okay. I just thought Celena would be uncomfortable, but you guys seem really close now." She said with a teasing tone.
She just sounds like Caleb now. Caleb chuckled and I almost want to disappear from her sight.
"Happy, miss?"
I pouted. We walk towards different direction and went to the side where the big cottages are. This is much better. The beach is just in front of the cottage and it has a little veranda.
"Here you go. I have to attend to something, just call me if you need anything." Melissa said to Caleb and looked at me and smiled.
"I hope you enjoy your stay here."
"Thank you, Melissa." Caleb said.
"Thank you," I smiled.
After that she left and we're alone in this cottage now. I look around and this is well built. I love the interior too. I looked at upstairs and the view was mind blowing.
I could stay here forever.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes, this is beyond my expectation. Thank you, Caleb."
He smiled and hugged me from behind as we watch the beach from the window.
We rested for a bit and waited until the sunlight doesn't hurt our skin anymore. It's fine for me to get tan, but Caleb said he gets tired easily especially when it's hot.
I'm wearing a black two piece. I wore a white shirt to cover. I went out to the veranda since Caleb's still changing. I sat on the lounge chair and admired the view.
I flinched when it was covered by a white and firm abs. What the--I looked up to see Caleb smiling. He's only wearing a black board shorts.
"Why are you still wearing a shirt? The beach is near."
He has a point. I removed my shirt and I can see him watching me. I smiled and hold his arms.
"Damn, you're getting hotter and hotter everyday."
I slightly slapped his arms and chuckled. We walk towards the beach and there are a lot of people.
"Do you wanna take a picture?" Caleb asked.
I was hesitant, but this is my only chance. I don't think I can ask him directly to take a picture of me.
"O-Okay."
I posed near the shore and he started taking pictures of me using his phone. He keeps on clicking until I got a bit awkward and laughed it off.
"Caleb, stop already!" I laughed and cover the camera of his phone, but he keeps on taking pictures of me.
"Let's take a picture." I said.
"Sure, baby."
He switch the camera to front so we could take selfie. He also asked someone to take a full picture of us.
"Can I see?" I asked.
He gave me his phone and it has a password on it.
"Your birthday,"
"huh?"
"My phone's password is your birthday, you can add your fingerprint."
I bit my lower lip and nodded. He wasn't lying. I also registered my fingerprint so I could easily open the phone if it gets locked.
The photos turned out good, especially those pictures of me and Caleb. I'll post these later.
"Can you airdrop this to me later?"
"Of course. But first we should swim." He smiled and pulled me into the water.
The phone's getting wet! I chuckled.
"Put this on our seat first," I said.
He sighed and get our phones to put it on our lounge chair near the beach. It's safe. There are coast guards and also stealing isn't really a thing here.
He came back and cling both of my hands on his shoulder and hold my waist on both sides. I can feel him slowly moving on the deeper part of the beach.
"Caleb, I can't swim."
"I know. I won't let you go." He smiled.
I'm hugging him so tight since I'm scared. I even cling my legs on his. I looked at the sunset and the view is breathtaking. When I look back to Caleb, he's looking at me.
Shit. He makes things better.
I clear his hair away from his face. What did I do to deserve this kind of guy? I caressed his cheeks and he lean it on my hands as he close his eyes.
I slowly move closer and kissed him. He opened his eyes with shock, but closed again after I kissed him deeper.
"Thank you, for making things better." I said.
We enjoyed the beach and sunset, but when the sun's already down, we went back to our cottage. I took a bath first since I'm already cold.
Will something happen tonight? I don't know. Whatever! What am I thinking? I sound like a pervert or craving for s*x.
After I take a bath, Caleb went after me. I went outside for a fresh air. A bonfire is set in front of our cottage, and the view and sound of the ocean makes it more chill.
I lay down and looked at the sky. There's a lot of stars tonight. I always dreamed of camping outside with someone I love. Like watch the stars, deep talks, and all things that couple does.
I closed my eyes and feel the cold air and the heat that the bonfire is giving.
I stayed like that for five minutes until I heard Caleb's footsteps.
"Are you sleeping?"
I opened my eyes and sat properly.
"No, I was waiting for you."
He sat beside me and put a soft blanket on me. I put my legs up and covered myself with the blanket.
"Caleb?"
"Hmm?"
"What if you get tired of me? I mean would you leave instantly?"
He looked at me like he doesn't believe I just asked him that.
Even though he makes me feel like I'm the only one and that he loves me so much, I believe it will change in time.
"I won't. Trust me, Celena, I won't." He said.
What if I do? I mean I don't feel it, but what if someday? Whatever. It's just a thought.
"Then what if someone who is much sexier and beautiful than me approaches you?"
I don't know why I'm asking this kind of questions also. I think I want assurance. Well he does give me that, but I still have a lot of doubt to it.
I don't feel confident.
"Of course I would ignore them. I met a lot of girls before, Celena, but you're different." He said.
I nodded.
"Are you doubting me, baby?" He asked.
"No, that's not it. I'm just curious."
He nodded. He lay down beside me, I put my feet down and place his head on my legs. He closed his eyes as I play with my hair.
"Can you sing for me?" He asked.
"What? I can't sing." I chuckled.
"Then let me sing for you," He smiled.
He started singing while his eyes are closed.
"It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart, Without saying a word, you can light up the dark,"
His voice is surprisingly good. I smiled as I continue playing with his hair.
"Try as I may I can never explain, What I hear when you don't say a thing,"
I can't stop smiling. God, I could never let this man go. This will hurt a lot if ever. He opened his eyes and looked at me. He smiled as he continues to the chorus.
"The smile on your face lets me know that you need me, There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me,"
He Hold my hand and kissed it.
