Touch her

1228 Words
The first thing Aria did when she woke up was check up on Caleb to see how he was doing. He was lying next to her, awake without saying a word. It freaked and scared her because Caleb was usually a talkative. When she touched him, she felt how much his temperature had risen. She had mostly healed from the fall because of her wolf, but Caleb was only four and hadn't gotten his wolf yet. He was just as vulnerable as a human child and was still suffering the aftereffects of the run and fall. "Are you okay?" She tried to pick him up into her arms when she noticed there was a chain around his leg that was fixed tightly to the ground. That was when she also saw similar silver chains around her ankles. The chain was only a few feet long, restricting her from taking more than four steps forward. "Mum," he uttered weakly and curled as much as he could into her arms. Aria squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, taking deep breaths to calm her nerves. She wouldn't have minded if she had been alone, but whoever was responsible for this had also locked up her innocent child inside this cold, eerie, and empty dungeon with rough ground. "Don't worry," She ran her fingers through his Black silky hair that had always reminded her of someone, "I'll get you out of here. You'll feel better soon, I promise," A werewolf's night vision enabled her to scan her surroundings. Two men were standing outside her cell, and she thought to herself if she could get a hold of the key. She wanted to get out of here... Fast. "Alpha Ezekiel's Territory...," Those words kept ringing inside her head. No matter what happens, she cannot afford to cross paths with Zeke again. She was done with him for good. Her aim was to find a safe place for Caleb and seek out those killers who murdered the people precious to her heart. "Let me out!" Aria exclaimed, staring between the men outside and her son, "He needs medical attention. We can return as soon as he gets better, please!" As she kept on pleading with them, one of them began unlocking the door, giving her hope that they had listened to her plea, but all that changed when she saw the vile look in her eyes as if he was pissed off that she was disturbing the silence. As soon as she noticed the foulness from him, Aria quickly dropped Caleb to one side and pulled up to her feet to face him. Without warning, the man threw a hard slap on her face, whipping her head to the side and a bit of her hair fell over her face. Aria tasted blood in her mouth, and the pain spread all over her face. "Shut up!" He spat out. Aria's hand fisted, and her eyes glowed deep blue for a second but she didn't make any move to retaliate. Instead, she stared at the key that was hanging out of his pants, "I just need to see a doctor, or else, I'll keep bothering you and it doesn't matter how many times you slap me," She said and faced him with a smirk on her face, "And if you piss me off more than I already am, I'm gonna break out of these pathetic ropes you call chains and pay you back the favor ten times harder," The werewolf's eyes turned Golden yellow, and he raised another hand to hit her. Aria could already see herself snapping that hand out of its socket the second it descends, and watch the pain in his eyes as he realizes he had underestimated her. The Sudden heat and powerful steps that filled the room had the guard wolf pausing, and then he looked back to see his partner had already gone down on one knee. Immediately, his hands fell to his side and he also went down. Aria glanced at her legs to find them trembling a bit. It seems over the years she hadn't seen him, he had gotten stronger and his presence was speaking so much. The Anxiety hit her harder than she thought, and her fists curled even harder till her knuckles turned white. Ezekiel Hawthorne. An Alpha... amongst Alpha. Rumored to be the strongest Alpha Alive. As soon as he walked in, his large frame and height dominated the place and Aria's breath was stolen away. He was carrying himself with so much grace, and those times Aria thought he couldn't become any more good-looking...she was wrong. He locked eyes with her, and those Metallic Grey eyes bore into her soul with a loud stare that had her knees bucking a bit. His Black hair appeared silky, although it was very much disheveled. His face looked like it'd been carved out of the most beautiful piece of clay, structured perfectly with the sharpest jawline she'd ever seen. He was barely putting on a shirt, and his face remained strong and unmoved. From the moment he had seen her striking and alluring big hazel eyes, alarms began ringing in the back of his head. He was undeniably drawn to her...again. "Mate," Twilight murmured, "You have to touch her, or risk losing your mind," Meanwhile, Aria had also discovered he was her mate because her wolf had also said the whisper, and it felt as if someone had placed a magnet that was beginning to attract them to each other. Yet still, Aria refused to move from where she stood. Not after what he did to her. Confusion was etched in her eyes. Alpha Ezekiel was her former mate, he had rejected her, and she had gladly accepted his rejection. So, why was this happening again? Why did the Moon Goddess bestow him as her second chance mate?! Is it possible for one person to be your mate twice?! Aria forced herself to maintain that deep eye contact, with no words being said between them. His gaze finally left her eyes, and she released the breath she had been holding...and then those Grey eyes moved to stare at her cheeks. There were handprints from the slap. They were healing, but the redness and swell were still very much visible. Taking a step closer, Aria swallowed. Why wasn't he saying anything? Another step closer, and she almost bit her lip. The heat between them was already throwing her off guard, and he was still coming closer to her. What was she supposed to do? He covered the rest of the distance, and Aria's heart was pounding so hard they could both hear it. But it wasn't just Aria's heart that was pounding that hard, ready to explode. His thick, masculine, and addictive scent infiltrated her nostrils, her lungs welcoming him like he was home. The hatred and spite she had for him disappeared for that moment, and it felt like they were the only two people standing there. "Aria...," His deep voice whispered, and her ears found it so endearing and sexy to hear her name as the first thing from his mouth. And then, Aria felt herself against the hard wall with something soft and nice working against her lips. It took her another second before it dawned on her that...he was kissing her
