"Wait!" Kai called. His hands stretched out in longing.
Skyla's steps halted; she turned face then and stared at them questioningly.
"What?" She demanded angrily. She was already in a bad mood because of Courtney, and now it had worsened after hearing the triplet's conversation with their stepmom, Courtney. She felt betrayed because it seemed like the triplets had been protecting Courtney all this while even after all she had done.
"We can explain, Skyla," Ryder pleaded. They weren't sure how much she had heard, but they really hoped Skyla had not heard them in the sitting room.
"Oh really? You guys knew exactly how to stop Courtney all this while, but you held back because of some promise?" Skyla finally asked, giving them a questioning look.
