"No Ryder! Why didn't you guys tell me?" I snapped.
"We were only trying to protect you, Skyla," Blaze lamented.
"By letting me walk out into the lion's den unprepared?! Good job! You did such a fantastic job protecting me," I said sarcastically.
"We tried to stop you, Skyla," Kai said, looking at me with pity. I hated that look!
"You rather stop me and keep me in the dark than tell me the truth?" I scoffed in disbelief.
