Chapter 10: OMG moment Penelope                            OMG…I just had phone s*x with Argent. Of all the things I expected after our sad text session hours ago, I didn’t expect him to call me and confess how he felt. A happy smile spreads across my lips at the thought of what just occurred. I can’t believe that I just m*********d while on the phone with Argent. I won’t pretend that it didn’t feel good because that would be a lie, and he loved it. I could tell by his tortured groans.              Rising from the bed, I slip on my pajamas and make my way to the living room. Apollo pads behind me, his nails clicking across the linoleum floor. Lyria is already up and making breakfast for both of us.              “Hey, you’re up early.” Her eyebrows rise above her hairline with surprise. I can understand her surprise because I never wake up before nine. I’m not much of a morning person. But after what happened earlier, I’m wide awake and giddy with emotion.              I take a seat in front of our little kitchen island. Our house is cute and comfortable. The walls are a beautiful buttercup yellow, and the floors are covered in traditional stucco tiles, the color of rust. Both of our bedrooms are small, with queen-sized beds, a small dresser, and a tiny window. The living room is light and decorated with a sectional, a small flat screen tv, and a small coffee table. Our galley style kitchen is next to the living room. The cabinets are antique wood with various colored tiles and white appliances. It’s simple, and we love it.              Apollo goes around the kitchen counter and licks Lyria’s face before he heads to his bowl of food and begins munching away. He’s such a cutie. Lyria and I love him.              “So what’s up? Why are you up so early? Is something wrong?” Lyria asks, her eyes widening with alarm as she stirs pancake mix in a bowl.              “Nothing’s wrong, Lyria. Everything is fine. I just woke up early.” I bite my lip with a dreamy smile as I recall last night’s events. “Actually, Argent woke me up.”              Her head snaps up, and her hand stills on the bowl with a suspicious scowl. “What?” She asks sharply before she shakes her head as if she didn’t hear me correctly. Taking the bowl from her hand, I run my finger across the rim. I need something to occupy my hands. “Yeah, he called me earlier and asked me to give him a chance. He told me that he couldn’t get me out of his mind. Then he asked me to…to touch myself while he listened.” I glance at Lyria from beneath the fringe of my lashes, preparing myself for a tongue lashing.              Lyria’s mouth opens and closes with shock. “Holy cow. Well, I mean…I’m not going to give you s**t over this, but I suggest that you be smart about it. Don’t let your guard down simply because you care about him. I wouldn’t appreciate it if he hurt you again.”              “I understand,” I reply firmly. Lyria has always been the voice of reason, and I can tell that she’s holding her reservations in for my sake.              “Okay, then. So, what are you going to do about Dario?”              I quirk a brow, surprised by her question. “What do you mean? Dario is just a friend.”              Lyria scoffs as she scoops pancake batter into a pan. “I know you’d like to think so, but in case you haven’t noticed, he’s been hanging around a lot, and I don’t think it’s to see Apollo.”              I want to deny her words, but I know she’s right. Dario has stopped in several times this week to hang out. He’s been gentlemanly, but I can tell that he’s just biding his time. I brush my hair away from my face and reach for the plate of pancakes that she extends towards me. “I don’t know what to do, Lyria. He’s gorgeous, talented, and sweet, but I want Argent.”              Lyria exhales deeply and pours some orange juice into a cup thoughtfully. “Just tell him, Pen. It’s the least you can do.”              I swallow hard and nod my head. She’s right. It’s the least I can do. It wouldn’t be fair to string Dario along. The only reason I began hanging out with him is that he reminds me a lot of Argent. Physically both men are similar, but that’s where the similarities end. Argent is more…intense and enigmatic. When I’m with him, I feel this animalistic need. He emits raw masculinity─even when he’s wearing a suit. Maybe it’s because of what he is. But when I’m with him, I feel the power he radiates. Argent is a predator, and the s****l woman inside of me is mesmerized by it.              “Alright, I’ll talk to him after his class ends tomorrow, mom,” I mutter in an exasperated tone.              Lyria chuckles, amused by my tone instead of annoyed. “Good. Now tell me about the phone call. Was Argent panting like a hungry dog?”              I tell Lyria every detail of our phone call. We’ve always shared our romantic encounters. They’ve never been as intense as they are now, but it’s fun to hear.              Argent doesn’t call me that day, but he sends me a quick text letting me know that he’ll be unreachable until the next day. I’m guessing that he’s working, so I don’t give him a hard time over it. I know how dangerous his job is.              The next day, I meet Dario in the quad after work. His golden hair shining like a beacon in the sunlight, and his tattoos stand out from his golden arms like beautiful pieces of art. There’s no doubt that Dario is gorgeous. Girls openly gape as he makes his way to where I am and takes a seat next to me. I think if I hadn’t met Argent, I might have fallen for him. But as of now, Argent is the one that has my complete attention. “Hello, beautiful.” He takes my hand and places a kiss on it.              “Hey, Dario.”              He smiles sincerely and gazes out into the lush green grounds, then looks back at me. He has a roguish dimple on his cheek, which adds to his allure. “Listen, Dario. There’s something I want to tell you.” I whisper awkwardly.              Dario c***s his head to the side with a puzzled expression. “What is it, Anjo?” Angel              My hair flails around me as the wind picks up. Brushing tendrils away from my eyes, I cross my arms in front of my chest and clear my dry throat. “You remember the guy I told you about? Argent?”              Dario squirms in his seat and gives me a reserved nod. “Yes, I remember. It’s hard not to, considering he saved your life.”              “Well, um…we decided to be together now.”              Dario gazes straight ahead, his head tilted with disappointment. “I won’t say that I’m glad about this because I like you. But I don’t wish you badly. I truly hope that everything works out for you. You and Lyria are great girls. You both deserve to be happy. And if it doesn’t work out, I’m here.” He says with a cocky grin.              Smiling softly, I lean close and kiss his rough cheek. “Thank you, Dario. You’re a great guy.”              Dario places his arm around my shoulder and nods. “I know I am.”              We’re both smiling contentedly when the familiar voice of the man I’m completely enamored with startles us from our reverie. “I suggest you take your arm off my woman before I rip it off.”              Dario and I turn, coming face-to-face with an irate, Argent.              Dario quickly removes his hand and gives me an apologetic grimace before he takes a step back. “I should go.” He mutters.              Argent’s lip curls into a sneer. “Yes, please leave.”              As soon as Dario disappears out of sight, I turn to Argent, ready to berate him for his rudeness. However, I don’t get the chance because Argent crushes his lips against mine and kisses me hard. Groaning with pleasure, I wrap my arms around his neck and deepen the kiss. His heat envelopes me as his hands roam over my body. Breathless, I cling to his neck and tangle my tongue with his. After a moment, we break apart and look intently into each other’s eyes. “Don’t ever let another man touch you again. You’re mine, and I don’t share what’s mine.” He whispers against my lips.              “I’ll agree only if you agree to the same terms,” I reply obstinately.              Argent’s eyes smolder, but somehow he manages to retain his brooding expression. “Very well. If we do this, I’m willing to break my promise for you, which means no other man will touch what belongs to me. You’ll belong to me. I’m very protective of what is mine, and I will kill anyone who gets between us.”              The ache in my stomach turns into a pleasurable flutter as I settle myself on his lap and wrap my arms around his neck. “That’s what I want. You're my destiny, Argent, and I think I’m yours.” I mutter against his lips.              All bets are off at this point. Without another word, he leads me to his vehicle and takes me to his home. Instead of his bedroom, he leads me to his office. “I’ve been dying to take you on top of my desk.” His voice is heavy with desire, which makes my body clench with need.              There’s no more hesitation in Argent’s kiss. Instead, he takes me into his arms and leads me to his office chair. My body instantly returns to the point it was before. Feeling as aggressive, I slide off my shoes, lower my panties, and straddle his waist. Argent must like my actions because he quickly unbuttons his pants, takes out his big c**k, and plunges inside my molten center. We don’t need foreplay. I’m so ready that his wide shaft slides in smoothly inside of my walls close around him tightly. Pulling my hair back, I begin to ride him, my hips rising and falling at a brutal pace. I love how he fills me to the brim and stretches my sheath to a nearly unbearable bittersweet pain. Argent quickly lowers the sleeves of my dress to my waist and begins to suckle the hard buds of my n*****s. My clit swells with every contact of his base against my sheath as pleasure begin to blaze through me. Clinging tightly to his shoulder, I swirl my hips and grind hard against him. “You feel so good,” I whisper in his ear, nipping at the lobe. Groaning with pleasure, Argent settles his hands around my waist and helps me maintain a rhythm. We both moan and growl with every slam of my hips and clenching of my walls.              My sheath begins to tighten as I get closer to the edge of my o****m, and a pleasurable tingle stirs inside my body. Clinging tightly to Argent, I sigh when he moves his lips to my other n****e and swirls his tongue around it before he bites it gently. My body shudders, and a mewl escapes my lips every time he does it. Every swirl and bite makes a blissful shock burst inside my body. I close my eyes, my breathing coming in ragged as I move in tandem with his movements until my sheath begins to quiver. “f**k, you’re amazing,” Argent mutters with a grunt before he raises his face to mine and kisses my lips. “You feel incredible, Little one.” He whispers gently. I slide my tongue around his and nip his bottom lip. I’m on the precipice of my release when pleasurable waves of bliss bursts inside of me. Closing my eyes tightly, I moan as fireworks explode behind my eyes, and ecstasy shudders through my body. Argent pulls and pushes my hips down a few more times before his own body erupts with his c****x.              We sit there for a moment, holding onto each other as our bodies fall through their pleasurable precipice. Unlike the last time, we both remain awake and continue to languidly kiss as we both bask in our post-orgasmic euphoria.              “Is it always this good?” I murmur between kisses. Argent shakes his head. “No. It’s not. It’s always better when it’s with someone you care about.”              A warm smile spreads across my lips as I caress my fingers through his silken hair. “Then, it must really be good because I care about you a lot.”              Argent releases a relaxed chuckle and leans back on the chair’s backrest as he runs his gaze down my n***d chest. “If we’re going to be together, you have to know, Pen. I’m not just a grunt who works for a government agency. I’m one of the top directors of an organization of Assassins. Some powerful people wish me ill, and you might be in danger of simply being with me. I’ll protect you, but I need you to know this because I don’t want you coming in blind. Right now, I’m on the hunt for a former friend who has betrayed me. I was searching for him the night that we met─ the night of the auction. I’ve known Sebastian for years, and I was blindsided by his betrayal, which apparently has gone further than I’ve ever imagined. He…he betrayed me, and if that’s the case, I need to teach you to defend yourself. Do you understand what I’m telling you, Pen? There’s no going back after this.”              “Yes, I understand.” I kiss him again. “I’ll do whatever you ask. Anything.” I mumble suggestively against his lips. With that said, Argent lifts me into his arms with a growl and carries me to his bed. We spend the rest of the day and night making love. When we’re not making love, he’s holding me close to his arms. It’s exactly what I wanted. I just hope that we stay like this forever.
