The click of the door opening wakes me up.
I open my eyes, alarmed, even more so when everything is so dark outside. I look at the digital clock on the bedside table, it's past twenty hours, which means I've slept during the day. No wonder because I hadn't slept more than a few hours in almost three days, but it still takes me a second to get situated.
Finally, I turn, searching with my eyes for the intruder even though I already know who it is.
My skin always feels his presence.
Killian slowly approaches me. In the dim light coming through the window, I see that his torso is covered by a simple black T-shirt. And the expression on his face is dark, his eyes show an almost animalistic glow. His aura is full of danger and this man is obviously a predator.
But he doesn't scare me.
