Despite our good relationship, we are actually three different people with different tastes. Both Max and Kevin like gaming. I couldn’t play a game to save my life. I loved reading while they couldn’t do it, except Kevin, for educational purposes. And we didn’t all have the same taste in movies even if we had the same taste in music.
There was, however, one thing we agreed on watching; Shounen anime. All three of us could sit glued to the tv for hours watching this particular genre of Japanese cartoons. We’ve binged so many times and spend most of our time arguing about fictional characters. Like now, for example;
“If Tanjiro from Demon slayer and Yuuji from Jujutsu Kaisen were to fight, who would win?” I said out of the blue, once I finished my work. The two of them pause and stare at me.
“Somehow I’ve never thought of that. New gen fights, sounds like an interesting concept” Max says, finishing his game. Kevin pauses his documentary and comes to sit beside me. The three of us were in the study, the second biggest room. It was also where Max kept his Livestream equipment. There was a laptop in the room which was used by all of us if we wanted to work at home. It also meant we could see each other’s browser history. Kevin’s not as innocent as he seems and Max, I truly expected it. Why are they shocked when they see me read bls? I have two fiances.
“I think Yuuji would win. He’s got unlimited physical power after all. Tanjiro only has technique going for him” Kevin says. We nod, agreeing with him. Tanjiro actually seems like the weakest new gen.
“What about Yuuji and Deku from BNHA?” Max asks.
“A draw. Definitely a draw” Kevin and I reply.
“It's a different setting but Rimuru vs Gojo. what do you guys think?” I ask.
“I dunno, I’ve never thought about that one too. Usually, we just group similar anime but come to think of it, Rimuru is actually a very overpowered character. I’m not sure who would win. Both of them can control space and time” Max answers, clicking rapidly on his controller. Both of us take the time to admire his skills. Talking to us while gaming and still winning was really a show of his god-like skills.
He wins the match and looks back at us. He drops his controller and spreads his hands. I try to stand but Kevin pulls me back and hugs my back. Max pouts and stands from his chair.
The two proceed to drag me back and forth.
“Guys, please chill. I’m too tired for this”
I pull my hands back and give the hands holding my wrist a peck. Max reluctantly releases me and goes back to sulk in his game chair.
“So, Asta vs Deku?” Kevin asks, smirking in triumph. I flick his forehead though.
“If the same rules apply to both worlds, Asta could possibly deactivate Deku's Quirk with his sword so on power grounds, they would be equal. It would come down to a brawl and Deku would lose. Have you seen Asta? That man would rip Deku in two and Deku would say thank you”
They give me a weird stare, their eyes squinting and their noses scrunching upwards. It’s the same stare I get when they think I’m saying nonsense.
“What a nerd” Max says distastefully.
“And a rotten one at that” Kevin adds.
“Now you agree?!”
“May, baby, slow down. We both agree on the fact that you’re absolutely useless in real life combative situation and would die in a zombie apocalypse but we love you anyways” Max says in a sassy tone. I gasp, offended.
“How dare you? I’ll survive longer than your househusband ass and your stupid ‘I’m ripped but can’t fight for s**t’ ass”
They gasped, offended.
“It’s illegal to fight!” Kevin says. I clasp his shoulder and shake my head.
“Baby, I love you but you just sounded like a p***y right now”
“Hmm, let’s see about that” he smiles, biting my n****e through my cloth. I moan and push him away, covering my chest. They both know that my breasts are one of my few weak points.
“Kevin, I thought we had an agreement” Max says in a disappointed tone.
“We did?” Kevin replies, confused.
“Yes. Don’t mess with May without me!”
“Yeah, I remember that” and together, they attack poor ol' me.
