Chapter 4Doug spent half the day trying on different things to wear.
“This whole meet-someone’s-parents-thing is hard,” Doug said to the phone as he stood in front of the mirror.
“So, what are trying on now?” Stephanie asked.
“Classic wear. A navy polo shirt, and a pair of khaki pants.”
“Too preppy,” Audi said. “They live in the country. Keep the shorts. Get that maroon T-shirt that always looks great on you. It has a formal quality for a T-shirt.”
“Agreed,” Stephanie said.
“Okay, ladies, then what about shoes?” Doug asked.
“Those khaki looking ones with a bit of a tennis shoe sole,” Stephanie said with confidence.
“Most definitely,” Audi added.
“Socks or no socks?”
“Socks, of course,” Audi said.
