Chapter 3After all the bachelors had been bid on, they were invited back into the audience area to meet their dates. The room seemed much less crowded, and Doug realized that the only people remaining were there bachelors, their dates, and a few people like Audi who were working the event.
Marjorie walked up and patted him on the back. “You really blew them away. Thanks for being such a good sport. I know Audi probably exaggerated those stories, but they seemed to get a good response from Mr. Wonderful who’s coming up here now.”
“Actually, it was quite the opposite,” Devin said, approaching them with two glasses of what appeared to be champagne in his hands. “I was more intrigued by the way he blushed while you were telling those stories. I would love to hear about them though.”
