Cabinet Meeting

After the cabinet meeting, Thomas opened his menu to buy more people suggested by the secretary of Labor. The price of the citizens is fixed, he can only buy 1 million people for one trillion dollars.

"This is such a good deal."

Then Thomas bought 150,000,000 citizens. Now that he has increased his workforce his country is ready to go.

Six months later. Thomas conducted a cabinet meeting to report their findings.

"Thank you for you all coming to this meeting, I know that our future agenda will depend on your current findings, so why don't we start domestically?"

"Let me be the first to report Mr. President" The secretary of agriculture Lawrence said as he opens his files.

"Mr. President. I am to report that food supply is able to keep up to the demand of 165 million people and more, with our current yield we can guarantee 100% food self-sufficiency our country,"

"Speaking of another country, we have significant findings Mr. President, may I?" The secretary of defense Mark said.

"You may proceed"

With the go signal, Mark Thompson started handing out files that contain several images. 

"So, this is us?"

The files contain the satellite imagery of their world.

"Yes, sir this our world now, its two times size of the Earth and it only has 2 continents, there is no current name yet but we can call it Alpha and Beta,  we haven't contacted the dwellers of this world but I already have a team that can gather intel with your greenlight, Mr. President"

"Put them on standby, I talk to you after this meeting"

"Yes, sir"

"Then it’s my turn" the secretary of transportation Lizzie Wells said.

"Trains, airports, buses, taxies, and any other mode of transportation is fully operational and also we have already deployed traffic officers across all roads in the Harthom."

"How about the HUD?" Thomas said while looking at Mona the secretary of HUD.

"Sir housing initiatives are taking place, millions of citizens of Harthom are currently benefiting to this bill, we also have more projects that are currently taking place such as housings in the rural areas for the workers on the miners, farmers, in short, all Mr. President."

"Sir we have built nuclear power plant in all vital regions of the country, we have 20 of them working in the eastern part of the country while 15 in the western part 20 on the north 17 in central and 16 in south region. Although we are using other methods such as natural gas, natural energy and oil. The power generated by the nuclear power plants, power plants, and renewable resources such as wind, solar, geothermal, and hydropower. is more than enough to power our entire country."

"Also, we have 797 million barrels in reserves. The current consumption of oil per day according to our research is 18 million barrels per day and we are pumping 86 a million barrels per day. We can guarantee oil-sufficiency Mr. President"

"Thank god!"

"Okay my turn" the secretary of Interior said.

"Sir one thing that I can say that this land is blessed by mineral resources, we are mining them out as we speak. But if I report that to you one-by-one this meeting will end tomorrow haha."

"Okay give me the documents later."

"Okay next?"

"Sir, All I can say is that we will guarantee the safety of our citizens," The secretary of homeland security said.

"I believe I'm next," The secretary of education said.

"Sir, about education I don't think that we can use the schools yet, we have no students enrolling since all the summons citizens are 20 years old and above. All I can suggest is to dissolve this department and allocates its budget to a crucial department."

"Hah? We need education, it’s just that we don't need it yet, perhaps next year I'll summon citizens below 20 years old so we can use the schools that you built. Just wait"

"Yes, sir"

"The last three I guess?"

"Yes sir," the secretary of commerce said.

"Sir, manufacturing factories are keeping up to the demands, no anomalies so far"

"I believe I do have nothing to report as secretary of state since we don't have contact to the dwellers of this world if we do then you can count on us Mr. President as we make policies that will favors our interest in the foreign country."

"Okay, the last is the treasury I guess?"

"Uhm we have nothing to report so far since it has only been six months, we will report to you about the income of our country in the next six months, for the meantime if you need help that concerns money, you can consult me, Mr. President"

"Thank you, I believe that's all. Then go back to your work now..."

The meeting concluded. Thomas leaves Truman's room and suddenly remembered something.

[f**k I didn't get the report of the secretary of health, never mind I'll just contact her. Why didn't she say anything?]

In the White House Oval Office.

The secretary of defense was waiting for Thomas to report the images taken from their satellites.

"Greetings, sir"

"Oh. You're Mark, right? I see this is about the..."

"The world sir"

"Okay walk me through it"

"For general information, we have conducted a joint operation with NASA to know about this world geography. This is the images taken from one of our satellites."

Mark shows the images.

"To our current knowledge this world has two times the size of the former world and it only has two continents. There are people living there and according to these images their civilization resembles the middle ages."

"What is our distance to this continent?"

"800 kilometers sir"

"It’s near huh? What should we do? Should we make contact to them?"

"For me I think it’s best to make contact with them to know more information about this world, but we have to be wary also, who knows if they are friendly or not."

As Mark suggested to make contact, Thomas thought to himself. If he wants to make contact with the foreign nations then he needed a better navy, in history the ones who have the stronger navy wins, he looked at the images that Mark gave and saw a small plot of land in the middle between the Alpha continent and the Harthom.

"What's in there?" Thomas points to the island mark on the map.

"That's our recently discovered island sir, we completed building naval bases their and most of our ships are docked there. The geography is the same as Hawaii in the former world, so we named the island the same."

Thomas was surprised. He didn't know that they have a base in the middle of the ocean are they undermining his authority? But he never minded it since he ordered them to explore anyway.

"Okay, what are the ships docked there?"

Thomas asked. Mark picks something on his briefcase it’s a file. He gave those files to Thomas and began speaking.

"The ships  docked in the island are two Nimitz class aircraft carriers, fifteen Arleigh-burke class destroyers, ten Ticonderoga class battlecruiser, two Kirov class battlecruiser, five Zumwalt class destroyer, and fifteen submarines, five of them are Ohio-class four of them are Los Angeles class, three are Seawolf-class and three Virginia Class."

After seeing the file and hearing the report of Mark. He asked for something.

"Why there is a Russian battlecruiser in there? All of them are American ships..."

Mark interrupted.

"Well, sir we have a variety of navy ships in our arsenal. We have all access to different ships from different countries. Thanks to your abilities. we plan to procure more ships to strengthen our navy."

Hearing those words Thomas remembered his purchase in his ability. The department of defense is not satisfied with the American navy and therefore they asked him if possible to buy all the ships in different countries such as Russia, China, Japan, U.K, France, India, South Korea, Italy, and more. That's because they believe that each of the navies has different specialties. They are also retrofitted with the latest Aegis Combat System, used latest electronics, radars, firing control system making all of the ships brand new and stronger than they were.

"Mark"

Thomas called his name in a serious look.

"Yes, Mr. President?"

"I want you to ready the fleet and make contact to this nearest continent, if you encounter anything, ships, monster et cetera you report it to me."

"Yes. Mr. President, we will have the first fleet ready in 72 hours."

"Good, you may now leave."

"Yes sir."

Mark left the office, while Thomas walked towards the windows and said.

"Let's explore the new frontier."

Three days later. 

A first fleet is ready to sail. The ships included in the first fleet are one Nimitz Class aircraft carrier carrying a variety of aircraft such as the F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornets and F/A-18A+ and F/A-18C Hornets. The aircraft carrier is escorted by a flotilla of ten Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, one Kirov battlecruiser. and one Ticonderoga class battlecruiser.

Commanded by rear admiral Craig Nimitz they sailed mighty in the seas. With these ships any country should flinch.

Two hours since departure.

In the Nimitz Class aircraft carrier, Admiral Craig Nimitz is reading his books in a well-designed bedroom. From the looks of it, it looks like a room in a five-star hotel. While deep in his thoughts imagining the scene from the book, radio calls interrupted him.

"What?" Craig said in loud voice.

"Sir. sorry for bothering you but we have a situation, we need you here in the bridge now."

"Huh? what is it? another fish?"

"Just come here Commander," An officer said in a peremptory tone.

Craig wears his uniform and proceeded to the bridge.

"Commander on deck"

All of the officers stood and gave a salute to Craig.

"At ease"

...

"What's the situation?"

An officer who called him gave him a binocular and pointed to the front mirror of the bridge.

"What the? are those ships?"

"Yes sir, from the looks of it, it’s a sailing ship sir, its clearly resembles a middle-age ship, hehe"

"Did they see us?" 

"No, sir it’s impossible we are four kilometers away, we can see them through our radar."

"Let me see"

Craig went to the radar. Six blips indicating six ships are located by the Nimitz radar. 

"We need to report this to the Command Ops. The distance is 3,567 meters with a speed of six knots."

*Beep

...

In the Oval room, Thomas is reading his favorite light-novel. It was peaceful and quiet until a loud step can be heard outside the hallway.

"Sir!" 

Looking at the person who barges the door, it was his White House chief of staff Aaron.

"Sir, we need you in the Command Ops"

"What's the matter?" He wondered dazedly.

"The fleet that you sent who were in their expedition right now. Well, they encountered something."

Thomas stands on his chair and immediately went to the Command Ops.

In the command ops, it’s a room full of state-of-the-art equipment, computers, and filled with expert personnel. He saw a number of officials sitting on the long rectangular table and what's more, is that he saw Alice.

[Ah s**t that woman]

"Master!" Alice said in a joyous tone.

"Jeez"

He sits in the middle of the end of the rectangular table and was brief by Alice.

"Maste... I mean President we have a visual on a ship that seems to be a sailing type ship".

Alice said while pointing her finger to the big screen installed on the wall, the tv zoomed on the panel where the live video coming is from the Nimitz class. It was rear admiral Craig Nimitz, the commander of the first fleet. He looks young since the summon individual was between 20-30 years old, but his face gives an intimidating look. 

"Mr. President, we have detected six ships coming towards us, we are approaching them as we speak,"

"Good but be cautious. Who doesn't know what they are up to”?

"Yes. Mr. President"

"Do you think they can see you now?" Thomas said.

"Given their distance, I believe they can"

In a sailing ship, His holiness Mayne are aboard in one of the ships, he was looking at the horizon and saw a mysterious figure.

He beckoned the captain of the ships to asked about it. The captain picks the monocular in his pockets and used it to look towards the direction where Mayne is pointing.

Seeing the mystery figure on the horizon, his jaw drops.

"I-It’s a ship, your holiness"

"What? let me see it!"

Mayne snatched the monocular and looked.

"I-Impossible its size huge!"

Meanwhile, in the Arleigh- Burke-class destroyer, one SH-60 Seahawk is ready for take-off. 

It flew and headed towards the sailing ships.

*TUGTUGTUGTUGTUGTUG

A sound resounded in the air, the sailors in the ships were disturbed by the noise, but when it reaches closer to them. They saw a mysterious flying with a spinning blade on the top. Shocked by the appearance the sailors froze as their gazes locked on the helicopter.

"Wha-Wha-What is that? Mayne inquired.
