AFTER SOME TIME

AT EVA'S POW:

Work inside the kitchen is hard. The cook is not friendly and he makes me do a lot of work. I almost got no time for rest.

-Eva, peel potatoes. I need a lot of them.- Cook said.

-Alright.-I said and started to do what he asked.

I kept peeling potatoes and doing all kinds of work until it was a late evening. This guy gives me a lot of hard work and no time for eating. In the late evening, after I cleaned all the dishes, he finally let me leave the kitchen. I walked back to my room and saw prince Jake watching me. I bowed slightly and left to my part of the castle. I could feel his eyes watching me.

I walked inside the kitchen he gave me to use and sat down on the chair. I feel so tired, I am hungry, but the cook gave me almost no leftovers. How am I supposed to make food with that kind of leftovers?

-Hey Marinette.-Alya said as she walked inside the kitchen.

-Hey Alya.- I said and smiled a bit.

-You do not look alright, girl.-Alya said worriedly.

-I am fine.-I said and smiled fakely.

I felt how Alya hugged me and smiled softly.

-I am going to get you something to eat.-Alya said and left.

I sighed and sat down on the chair. I have no mood for eating. I do not feel too good since lunch, and that cook did not care much about me. I am just a weak human in a werewolf's world after all.

AFTER A FEW DAYS

AT PRINCE JAKE POW:

I started to feel strange. I feel more weak than usual and I do not like this feeling. It's like my body feels weaker each day.

-Something is happening to our mate. That is why you feel like this.-My wolf said.

-You mean that HUMAN?-I asked him.

-Yes. You need to check on her.-My wolf said again.

I frowned. I'll do it.

-Alya.-I said her name pretty loudly so she could hear me easily.

I saw how she walked inside the throne room and bowed.

-Yes my king.-Alya said while bowing.

-Where is that new girl right now? I have to talk with her about something.-I said and smiled.

-She is in her room alpha.-Alya said and smiled.

-Why she is not working?-I asked her.

-She does not feel well alpha. I asked her what is wrong and she said that she feels weak today.-Alya said and I nodded.

- I understand. You may go now.-I said and she left.

I sighed. Finally, my wolf is right about something. I got up from my throne and walked to her room. When I walked inside the kitchen, I saw that she cleaned most of the stuff. She is fast at this and that is good for her.

-Check her fridge. I have a feeling that there is not a lot of food for her.-My wolf said.

-I said that she can take leftovers from the kitchen, and I am sure that she did that.-I said to him and oppened the fridge.

I gasped when I saw that inside the fridge is almost no food. I thought that she is taking leftovers from the kitchen. So why the fridge is so empty? I walked inside her small room and saw her sleeping on the bed and panting slightly. I touched her head and realized that she has a fever.

-She got a fever.-I said under my breath.

-I told you that she does not feel alright.-My wolf said and frowned.

-You were right.-I said and mind linked to call a pack doctor.

After about ten mins the pack doctor arrived. He looked at her confused.

-Is that a human?-He asked.

-Yes it is a human.-I said and sighed. -Also she got a fever.

-Understand my king.-The pack doctor said and started to check her.

I watched how he kept doing it, and after some time he looked at me.

-She does have a fever, and appears that she does not get enough calories in her food, and that makes her weak.-Pack doctor said, and I nodded.

-I understand.-I said, and he left.

It looks like, that I need to take care of it or she might die. If we truly are mates, means I would die too. I do not want to die because of a weak human. I frowned and called Alya again.

-Yes, alpha.-Alya said and bowed.

-Make sure that she no more has a fever. I also want you to make sure that she will eat enough food. -I said and left.

AFTER A FEW HOURS

AT EVA'S POW:

I woke up and felt a huge headache. I touched my head and looked at the clock. I saw 9:00 am. Damn it! I am late for work. I tried to get up from bed, but I felt how Alya stopped me.

-Alpha saw that you have a fever, and he wants you to stay as this.-Alya said, and I frowned.

-I am fine. It's just a small fever.-I said and frowned.

-It's king orders Elena, and I am sure that you do not want to make him mad.-Alya said, and I sighed in defeat.

-I still can cook food.-I said, and Alya frowned.

-I will help you then.-Alya said, and I nodded.

I walked to the kitchen and sat on the chair. I saw Alya sitting down, and she smiled at me.

-What kind of ingredients do you need?- Alya asked me.

- I need some white bread and some cheese.-I said.

-I will get it.-Alya said and got the ingredients I asked for it. -What are we making?

-We are making some grilled cheese sandwiches.-I said.

All you need for this is a few ingredients.

White sliced bread - 2 slices for one sandwich

Cheese that you like, but that can easily melt. For example, Parmesan. I am using packed sliced cheese, and that works too.

What you need to do:

Place one piece of bread and put another piece of bread. Heat pan with oil and place sandwich, and put the lid on. If you have a sandwich maker, it's even better. When bread brows on one side, flip it and do the same on the other side. After it's done cooking, you can eat it. Be careful because cheese is hot.

I grabbed some bread and cheese and prepared a few sandwiches. I cooked them on the pan, and then we ate them.

-Do you like it?-I asked Alya.

-I did. You are a good cook. -Alya said and smiled.

-I am glad that you like it.- I said and smiled. She so kind and sweet to me.

I sat down on the bed and smiled. Food made me feel better. I hugged Alya, and she smiled.

-I glad that this made to feel better.-I said.

-I am glad that I helped you. You should get some rest.-Alya said and helped me get to my room.

I laid down on the bed, and before I fell asleep, I felt how she placed the blanket on me. It's a good feeling to have a friend like that. Now I need to get better and keep going living in this world. I know that other people do not like me, but if I have a few friends that will be enough for me. A few friends are better than nothing, I made sure of it a long time ago.
