We all gathered in front of the pack house. As I looked over the small army I had managed to get I smiled. They didn't stand a chance. We had hundreds of warriors of all races. In the back of my mind I knew that there was no way they would believe I would bring this many witnesses, but they may believe some of them are my personal warriors seeing as how I am a 'female'.
"Everyone ready? Everyone know the plan?" I yelled. I was met with a resounding war cry. Everyone was ready for whatever may come. "Let's go!" I bellowed and took off into the trees. Even in my human form I was fast and could easily out run any wolf, and it agitated me when I had to pace myself. "Love you must slow down." Klaus yelled from behind me. I rolled my eyes and sighed but lessened my pace. "Willow, I know you are antsy and angry and so many other things, but you must think of the people following you. They are looking to you and no one else. You must show your strength, your determination but most of all you need to show them you're there for them and will fight with them." Klaus lectured.
I knew he was right and I shook my head in shame. "I'm sorry." And I was. In my haste to save my people I rushed ahead of everyone else basically leaving them in the dust. Once I had slowed my pace enough I apologized to the others for my hasty behavior. They all understood, and something told me they wanted to take down this tyrant just as much as I did, which honestly surprised me. Why would all these shifters want to help me so badly that they arrived early just to push the battle forward?
I didn't have time to mull over it for long because we had arrived at the boarder. I stopped, respecting the laws the council had in place about territory boarders. But after waiting a goof half hour and nobody showed up, I motioned we move forward. We didn't rush, we didn't run but we stealthily made our way through the territory senses open and braced for any attack that may fall. "Dragons." I called. They all stepped forward and bowed their head. "Yes Alpha?" They asked. "Go, shift and keep an eye open. Once I have the Alpha distracted follow the orders I have given you." The dragons fisted their hands over their heart and bowed. "We will do as you ask and save the women." Then they were gone, running through the trees to find an open place to shift.
As we got closer to the pack house the screams and cried hit my ears over the blaring music. Women were crying, begging for them to stop, men were shouting at them to leave their family alone. My blood boiled. I ran through the trees not stopping until I was dead center of the commotion. What I saw would stay with me for the rest of my life. Women, teenagers were bound. Their hands tied above their head while their legs were spread wide a rope attached to each leg that kept them in a helpless way. Men hovered over the crying and begging women as they laughed menacingly before harshly thrusting themself into them causing them to scream out in pain and shame. Their mates, fathers were being restrained by large men as they were forced to watch the atrocity.
"Stop this madness." I bellowed. All heads snapped to me and I snarled. "I Willow of the Red Moon pack, challenge your Alpha in a match for not only the Alpha title but to the death. The laws are clear, should you refuse the challenge, you lose not only your title but are banished to the no mans land." My voice was harsh, cruel even as I searched out the Alpha.
The humor filled laugh that echoed around us told me where he sat. He was perched on a make shift throne as he watched in amusement as these women were defiled in the worst of ways, he watched as his warriors completely destroyed these young women's lives. "Klaus, take some men and free these women. Make sure they are clothes and get medical attention. Keep them safe." Klaus shook his head. "No my love I will remain by your side. But the some of the others will do as you request." Klaus's voice was stern leaving no room for argument. "Fine, but get them to get it done quickly."
"I accept you challenge female, but what does a frail little female like you expect to do to me?" The Alpha's words pulled me from my conversation with Klaus. I growled "I expect to kill you and all those loyal to you. I expect to free my people from your reign of tyranny." I said harshly. "Hhm. Very well. Follow me to the training grounds." He said as he stood up and walked off. The bastard was so confidant so arrogant I had to restrain myself from killing him here and now. But the people had to see, they had to recognize my power, authority and dominance.
As we entered the training grounds I had to force the memories of me and my father training here everyday. He would make games out of our training, trying to make it fun while also teaching me to fight. And he had, he succeeded more than he could ever know. "Now female how would you like to do this." He mused. "Wolf or human form or both it really does not matter to me. As long as I can tear you limb from limb, make you beg and scream fro mercy. Mercy you will never get from me. I could care less."
At some point my words had gotten to him. His amused looked changed to one of malice and anger. "You will regret that you challenged me." He seethed. He lurched forward, his hands shifting into claws as he aimed for my throat. I saw it coming, he was so predictable. I swiftly shifted my hands into their razor sharp claws and swiped my hand down in an arc, effectively severing his hand from his body. Blood splashed on my face and I caught the dismembered hand.
I looked at his hand in amusement before tuning back to him. "One limb down. seven to go. Next will be your foot, then the other hand the other foot then one by one I will tear your arms and legs from your body, but I'll keep you alive. I'll mount your body on a tree and let you suffer and scream as the animals eat you alive." I laughed at the thought. "I will get revenge and justice for what you've done to my pack."
Just as the words left my mouth I surged forward, faster than he could track and ripped his other hand from his arm. His agonizing screams filled the air making me laugh like a maniac. The Alpha fell to his knees cradling his stumps to his chest. "Aw, is the big bad Alpha done?" I teased. His head snapped to me and growled. He shifted into the ugliest wolf I have ever seen. His fur was a dull ash color, it was matted and chunks of fur were missing from spots all over his body. Looking at him I couldn't help the laughs that escaped me. I doubled over laughing as tears threatened to fall in my humor. "You are the ugliest wolf I have ever laid my eyes on." I chuckled.
His wolf did not like my humor. Using only his back legs he hurled himself to me. I dodged his attack, side stepping him and swiping my claws down the entire length of his body. His howls of pain echoed in the air around us. I his weakened state he was forced to shift back to his human. He was crumpled on the ground moaning in pain. "Stand up." I demanded. When I got no response I stepped closer to him. "Stand up you useless waste of space." I commanded using my Alpha tone. His body tensed for just a second before he slowly hauled himself to his feet. "Who are you?" The Alpha croaked.
I looked around at the pack that has gathered. Some were watching with wide unbelieving eyes, hope glistened as they watched. Others were watching with grim expressions, bodies tensed and ready to pounce. I just smiled. "I am willow Silverclaw. Natural born daughter of previous and rightful Alpha Elijah Silverclaw. I just turning eighteen have come to reclaim my birthright as Alpha of the Silver pack." Hoops and hollers were heard all around as they chanted "Alpha Willow. Alpha Willow."
I was overcome with emotion as the pack had already accepted me. With anger and venom I glared at the worthless Alpha in front of me. "You have treated my pack like a person slave trade and p********e ring. You will not get away with the crimes you have committed. As much as I would love to drag your death out as long as possible, my people deserve to watch you die."
Needing my people to see their true Alpha I stepped back a few paces. "Jade would like to come out to play." I said chuckling. "It's time Jade." I called her. Her happiness and anger coursed through me as she made herself known. I shifted in the blink of an eye. Her massive form standing over the cowering Alphas. Jade growled and snarled at the Alpha as he balled himself up on the ground crying. Jade shook her head at him, before she swooped down and grasped the Alpha between her jaws. In one swift motion she had crushed him, severing his body into three separate pieces.
The battle was over, the Alpha has fallen. Just then explosions were heard all around. The pack screamed in fear. "Do not worry." I said through the pack link that established between the pack and myself the moment the bastard died. "My allies have come with me. They have freed your women and got them to safety. They are now all recieving medical attention. The explosions was my friends destroying the filthy places he held the women captive. Never will this pack endure such pain and hardship again."
"Now." I said anger lacing my tone. "Anyone, who ever took part in torturing the women step forward." Using my Alpha tone they had no choice. Now trembling forms stepped forward and cowered before us. "On your knees." I seethed. In hushed cried they dropped to their knees with their heads bowed. "Fathers and mates of the abused women step forward and get your justice. You are free to do with them as you will. Or I can lock them all in the dungeon and we can let the women have their own revenge. Which would you prefer?"
Before they could answer I shifted back to my human form, getting tired of speaking to them through the mind link. They talked among themself for a while before turning to me. "Lock them up. Let our women take their own revenge." I nodded. "Warriors, take them to the dungeons." I ordered. Silver pack warrior stepped forward. "It's good to have you home Alpha Willow." A man said bowing his head. He looked familiar. "Do I know you?" I asked. As the other warriors hauled the men away I turned back to the warrior in front of me. "I was your body guard as a child. Whenever Alpha Elijah could not be with you I was assigned to watch over you and train you. I and your fathers beta were the only ones who knew who you truly were.
After the attack and Elijah was killed I was so worried you had been killed as well. But when Alpha Gabriel showed up with his warriors I heard him tell Elijah you were safe with him. The relief that washed through me that day was indescribable. I am so glad you're home." He said.
I thought back to my eight year old self and remembered. "Uncle Ryland?" I asked with tears forming in my eyes. "Yes little wolf it's me." He whispered. With a hear breaking cry I threw myself in his arms and clutched him to me. "I thought I lost you too." I cried. "No little wolf, I've been here awaiting your return. I knew you'd come, I knew you'd save our people." I pulled away and nodded. "I have been planing and training for this since the day I left. I'm sorry you all had to wait until I was eighteen."
At this point Klaus had stepped up beside me. "Uncle Ryland, this is my mate Klaus. He is a dragon shifter." I said proudly. Rylands eyes bulged as he stared at Klaus. "Wow." He breathed. "A dragon shifter, here. And mated to our Alpha. I can't believe this." I laughed. "Well that's not all. My allies I brought along are shifters of all kinds. Dragons, tigers, leopards. They're all here. Though I have a feeling they may be disappointed." I laughed. "Why do you say that?" Klaus asked. "Well they wanted a war, a battle. But the cowards gave up too easily." Klaus laughed and gave me a side hug. "Here yes they gave up. But all around the territory wolves stepped up and challenged the others. Believe me, they got the fight they wanted."
I smiled at that. "Damon!" I bellowed above the noise of the crowds. Damon pushed and shoved his way forward to get to me. "Yes Alpha?" He said bowing. "Please Damon don't do that. You're my best friend and my beta, there are no need for formalities." Damon stood tall and beamed at me, I just shook my head. "Damon, this is my uncle Ryland. Uncle Ryland this is my beta and my very best friend." I said smiling. "It's a pleasure to meet you Beta Damon." Ryland said bowing his head. "The pleasure is mine. Any family of Willow's is family of mine."
"Uncle Ryland. How do you feel about being my Gamma?" I asked smiling. "I accept you offer and look forward to helping you rebuild this pack to the honored and respected pack it use to be." I shook my head and sighed."That is going to take a while. We have business to discuss tomorrow. Right now, I want the entire pack taken care of. I want everyone to get medical attention, food and water. I want my people taken care of. The pack house is large enough so anyone who needs a place to sleep can stay there until new homes are built. We are going to rebuild this pack from the ground up."
Damon and Ryland bowed their heads and ran off to do as I asked. I was so happy and looking forward to building my pack back up, and I couldn't wait to not only merge the two packs but to start a life with my mate.
