Sara’s POV Mary squeezed my hand again. “You don’t have to decide anything right now. Take the time you need to figure things out. And if you want to stay here longer, you know you’re always welcome.” “Thanks, Mary,” I said, grateful for her support. “I think I will stay here a little longer. I need to clear my head before I make any decisions.” Mary nodded, understanding. “Take all the time you need. And if Zack or anyone else tries to pressure you, I’ll handle it.” We spent the rest of the evening talking about anything but Zack or Derick, focusing instead on lighter topics that helped lift the heavy weight on my chest. But even as we laughed and joked, the nagging thoughts about Zack and our future lingered in the back of my mind. I knew I couldn’t avoid the conversation forever,
