The renovations continue ...
Putting my little house back together was far more complicated than tearing away the plywood that covered the glass. While I was elated to see that the windows remained intact, the interior of the house had suffered in ten years of neglect. The heating and plumbing systems had taken a beating over those years. There’d been leaks through the chimney and skylight, which destroyed the wood flooring and damaged the appliances. The electrician I hired to check out the electrical system was certain that it needed to be replaced. While I’d managed to salvage many of the personal items from the back wall, a number of pictures were trashed.
