CHAPTER 11: VAMPIRES FROM THE ASSOCIATION

I was walking towards the school canteen to eat but I am still confused. What does Louie mean that I belong to him? Both of my cheeks feel hot. I just shook my head and went ahead.
I ordered food at the counter then looked for a good place. There are only a few people dining in, maybe other students are in the newly opened canteen in the other building.
I sat down next to the glass panel overlooking the garden. The view here is so nice to eat. I was busy eating when I felt a very strong power. "Vampire!" Scary. It seems like anytime you will burn with its power. I used my blocking power to protect myself. Enough to protect myself but not enough for them to know that I'm a half-vampire.
I looked for the source of that powerful power. I looked around. Someone entered the canteen. Another group of vampires! Leading the group is a woman with light brown long hair and golden-yellow eyes, and another female vampire with shoulder-length red hair and a golden-yellow eyes. Next are the four male vampires with two having golden-yellow eyes and two with blue eyes. I wonder who they are.
I continued my meal while feeling them. The vampire men ordered food and the two women sat nearby. About 3 tables away from me. Will they eat their order or just props? I want to laugh at them.
I noticed in the corner of my eyes that those men were looking around, then looked at my direction. Is he looking at me? I resumed my meal as I continued to feel better. I am facing 6 vampires now. "Martha, where are you? I see 6 vampires in the school canteen. They don't belong in Justin's group."
Moments later I saw Martha entering the canteen. She went straight to the counter and order food. She took the tray and went straight to my table.
"Hi! We're classmates, aren't we? Can we share? It's sad to eat alone." Martha even went a little louder to get the vampires' attention.
"Sure. Have a seat." Their group turned to us, observing. "Will you eat that?" I asked it using telepathy.
"I can chew maybe your normal food. I'll try to swallow it. I'm just going to eat a few bites." Martha ate a slice of cake and then chewed. She frowned, then swallowed. She ate another." Wow, it tastes good! " she said in a loud voice, exaggerating it. She ate one bite again.
Stunned with what Martha was doing. "Seriously, Martha? You can't eat that!"
"I'm fine. I can tolerate a few bites." She took a tablespoon of fried rice.
"Take it in stride!" My eyes are wide open while shouting in my head.
Martha stopped chewing. "I'm really fine, don't worry." She winked at me.
"You're unbelievable!"
Martha stopped chewing again. "I tried your Dad's experiment last night, it has your blood in it. Your Daddy is testing it on me. He is still trying to figure out your blood." Her smile widened then she took another slice of cake before eating it. Even though she frowned, she still tried to chew and swallow the big chunk of cake. "I'll just vomit later."
The behavior of vampires destructed me. They looked at us while eating, disgustingly. I smiled at them innocently, then I went back to eating.
"I thought she is a vampire but she is eating vermin food." The red-haired woman whispered very weakly, but of course I heard them. I heard the word 'vermin' again. Tsk.
"I thought so, too. The girl with mahogany hair obviously has yellow eyes, just hidden in her colored reading glasses. Man by the way. Maybe she has a foreign blood," whispered the woman with brown hair.
They did not touch their food. You are all just jealous. You won't taste the best 'vermin' food ever. I sliced a huge cake then I baked it. I even tasted so much that they could see clearly. I see disgusted faces.
"Vanessa, I know the girl with light brown hair," Martha said.
"Who is she?" It's the question I had in mind earlier while pretending I am busy eating my food.
"She is Stacey. She is the daughter of one of the councils of the SAC. He was a former priest who became a vampire a few thousand years ago. He is just called Priest. He married an ordinary human before the foundation of the SAC. Stacey was half-vamp when she was born. They converted her mom after giving birth, then they converted Stacey into a vampire when she reached 18. Her father was with the founders of the Council 150 years ago. I don't know the woman with red hair with her, but she also looks familiar. I just can't remember."
"Hmm... so she was the only one allowed to live half-blood before being converted as a full vampire?" I was curious about him. She was given the privilege as the daughter of the SAC council.
"Yes. After exterminating my family then she was born. She's allowed to live under close supervision."
"So... Justin is an illegal half-blood, too?"
"I think, yes. Your Uncle Fernand said, the rebel group raised Justin as one of their own people. The SAC is looking for them. Half-blood is not allowed. Period."
That's why the others with him were guarding him, and asked Louie if the SAC had sent them. I may not like Justin for treating humans as vermin, but I feel sorry for him. A lot of SAC hunters are after him. I know how it feels.
I felt Justin's and Vlad's presence. They are going to the canteen. Vampires will see them! I don't know why, but I have this strong feeling to save him. I picked my phone immediately and called Justin. "Hello, let's meet in the garden."
"Why so sudden? Missed me?" Its a mischievous answer. I rolled my eyes.
"No. I need to tell you something. Bye."
I could feel their presence moving away, but I noticed the group of vampires on the other table who seemed to also feel Justin's presence. Those who became alert. The 2 male vampires stood up and went outside.
"Martha, Justin is in danger," I said in my mind.
"What? Don't interfere with them. We will fight SAC."
"I don't know Martha, but I have this feeling that we need to keep Justin alive."
"You really are impossible. Your compassion is contagious." Martha and I got up to follow the two vampires.
I think it's time for some action again.
