When we drove to wherever David was taking us, he held my hand the entire ride in a cautious manner. It wasn’t the first time we did this, but it was the first time I felt like we were a couple. Sure, we’d made it exclusive and had actually become boyfriends, but actions really did speak louder than words ever could. This very moment proved it.
We stopped by a grocery store to get a few things, but I wasn’t sure why. Although, I was getting rather hungry, so there was that. We acted coolly throughout the store, no reason to be nervous about being seen together. We left and hopped back inside the car. After driving for some more minutes, we stopped at the beach.
David smiled and looked around his shoulders. He gave me a quick little kiss on the lips and got out. “Come on, let’s go.”
