Faith Pain shot through my kneecaps as I was tossed unceremoniously on the floor but somehow I didn’t cry out. Elsdors words were echoing through my brain and I screwed up my eyes even tighter , even though tears had started to fall silently down my cheeks. It was no easy feat the feel of papery skin brushed against my temple and I tried to scoot back, scraping my already sore knees. I could already feel blood sticking the skirt of my long dress to my leg. When and if I ever got out of this craziness I was going to burn all the long flowing dresses and demand trousers. “Don’t do that” My hands clutched at the material that covered my eyes, desperately trying to keep it in place as those creepy feeling hands tried to tug it away.
