His Unwanted Mate

Chapter-3

Iris's POV:

"Happy Birthday to you"my mom and Eva both surprised me. I got up with a smiling and exciting face.

"Thank you" I hugged them both.

"Yayyy...I turned 18" I squealed with joy. Mom left us behind and went to prepare for breakfast and I know what's that going to be like. Eggs and ChocoChip Muffins.

I know Muffins aren't supposed to be for breakfast but I like them, hell a lot. So, she bakes them for my every birthday.

"So, maybe you may get your wolf this year and who knows a mate too" Eva giggled.

"I wish," I said and got off the bed.

I got ready. Mom bought me a new dress, a frock with laced shoulders, a Maroon one. Though we aren't rich like others, my mom makes sure that I have a perfect birthday every year.

I lost my dad when I was 10 in a rouge attack. That broke my mom's heart but she stood strong for me. It's just me and my mother.

She always comforted me and supported me though I didn't have my wolf. She belive in me that one day I will get my wolf.

I got down into the living room and saw both Mom and Eva whispering something.

"Ahem...what you both guys are planning?" I asked.

"That's...you are skipping your school today, of course, that counts me too" Eva chuckled. "We both are going to human land to spend some time" she smiled.

That made me confused "Will that be fine?" I asked her.

"Of course it is. I asked my mate, I mean Eric to help me this time, so he said it's fine to skip training for today, but"she paused.

"But?what?" I asked.

"But we should do extra hour training tomorrow" she completed.

"Ohh" I mouthed an o.

"But it's fine right? he even took permission from the Alpha to cross the border and to be in the human land" she smiled wide.

"Yeah, great" I smiled but deep down I want to see Priston today, at least once.

I'm feeling a little happy and a little more powerful as if I'm complete today.

We finished our breakfast and stopped at Eric's place because Eva wants to spend a moment with Eric, she's leaving for her aunt's pack tomorrow. Her Aunt is the luna of the dark moon pack.

I wish I had someone like that, a family. But I'm happy with my mother herself.

I'm waiting outside Eric's house because I thought of giving them their private time. Eva came running out blushing, which made me smile.

"Hey Iris, happy birthday," Eric said from the door. I mouthed thank you.

"Babe, be careful and remember to mind link me if something happens" he yelled.

"Ahh..huh, protective?" I chuckled.

"Shut up" she hit me playfully.

We started to human land in Eva's car. We stopped by a café first and spent some time there sipping on our coffee.

The human land seems colorful. This is my first time shopping out of the pack After my dad left. He used to take me out.

Then we both decided to watch a movie named "After". Eva is a big fan of After, she made me read the story because she loved it and I did read for her. It's a good story, actually more than good.

"I wish my mate loves me the same way Hardin loves Tessa. He tried to change for her. He loved her" I thought to myself while watching the film. 

"Ahh...I hope Eric had the looks of Hardin" Eva said dreamily.

"Aren't you happy with Eric?" I asked.

"Hey, my mate is the most handsome man alive," Eva said.

"Mate pull" I rolled my eyes.

we had lunch and then decided to do some shopping. I felt like I'm being followed, but I didn't give much thought to it.

All of a sudden I am feeling hot, the heat is radiating within me, it feels like my body is in flames.

"Eva, I feel like burning, "I said.

"What?" she said in shock.

"Did you heard any whispers?" she asked.

"Yes, the day before yesterday like a voice in my head, "I said.

"Holyshit, we need to go now," Eva said.

"But why?"I asked.

"Because you can shift at any moment," she said.

"What? shift?OMG"I felt happy excited and fear too.

We collected our shopping bags and started to the parking space. Few humans stopped our way, teenagers.

"Please move," Eva said. They eyed me and Eva.

"Let's have a good time, what say?" one of them asked.

Eva growled. "Oh, someone seems furious" one of them chuckled.

My wolf bouncing inside, she wants to come out. There are three problems in front of me.

One, I don't know how to shift.

Two, we can't shift in human land.

Three, we are surrounded by five men.

I feel like burning.

"Eva, do something" I looked at her. Her eyes fogged for a minute. Maybe mind linking Eric.

They tried to touch us and Eva kicked in the sweet spot of one. He winced in pain. We started running.

"Catch her" he yelled.

Shit...shit...shit, why my day has to be like this. Three of them caught Eva. I stopped in my tracks not knowing what to do.

"Run" she yelled.

"I can't" I cried.

"You dumb, run. Don't worry about me" she said.

I gave one glance at her and started running.

I don't know where I'm running. I found an empty construction building, I ran inside it to hide.

"Goddess, please save me" I held my breath in.

Eric's POV:

"shit..shit...shit"I let out a growl. Priston turned towards me. He growled a little louder. Being an Alpha wolf he doesn't take any growls.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Eva mind linked me, they are in danger. Some men are trying to harass them" I said.

"They? who else?" he asked.

"Eva and Iris, "I said.

"Dude, I'm leaving for the human territory," I said and got up from my desk.

Priston's POV:

Being next Alpha it's my responsibility to protect my pack members.

"wait, let's go together," I said.

we both started for the human land and entered the shopping mall. I don't know why my wolf Percy is being restless in my head.

Eric spotted Eva by tracking her scent. We saw Eva trying to fight with three scumbags. Eric let out a loud growl and ran to her. I looked for iris. Then it hit me again, the sweet scent of Vanilla.

My mind went blank and Percy started wiggling his tail and started ordering me to follow that scent. He's being all excited.

I eyed Eric who already beat the boys to death.

"You both leave," I said.

"Alpha, my friend Iris, "Eva said.

"I will get her," I said and followed the sweet scent.

My first concern is the source of that scent and the second is Iris.

The scent leads me to an empty building. Thanks to my wolf hearing, I heard whimpers followed by a loud cry. I ran in that direction and my wolf is howling in my head.

There stood Iris with a human pressed her to a pillar and others covered her mouth.

"Mate," my wolf said and Percy is at the edge, threatening to come outside and rip their heads. My wolf took control, it came on the surface.

I let out a loud growl and I can feel my eyes changing their color. I lunged at them. Pulled the first person and threw continuous punches on his face, which made him collapse.

"You better run"I roared at the other man. He tried to hit me with the rod, which I caught, and threw one powerful punch in his gut which made him groan in pain.

I looked at her and she's in complete shock, I pulled Iris into my arms.

I can feel my wolf calming down, my eyes turned back into their natural green, which says I'm completely human now.

I pulled myself away from her, it's hard to resist this scent.

Iris's POV:

My cry and plea for help are coming out in whimpers. I tried to fight him but due to his huge personality, I couldn't.

He pinned me to the wall, while the other closed my mouth. He trailed his fingers up my right thigh, I feel disgusted which made me cry more. Then I heard a loud growl, there stood Priston Blue with a dangerous aura emitting from him.

I heard him saying, Mate.

"Mate? who?Me?why I can't feel the bond?" I brushed off all my thoughts and looked at him.

He..he's not in control, it is my first time seeing him like this. He beat the s**t out of both men. I looked at him, trying to process what's happening. He pulled me in his arms which weirdly comforted me. Cos, maybe this is my first time being so close to Priston.

He pulled away and looked at me angrily. His eyes came back to normal but still, they hold a different emotion, anger? I can't make out what it is. He dragged me out of the building.
