Robert was about to turn her down when he told himself why not. Plus, he wanted Susan to get more confident with what they have to avoid her suspecting that he had something going on with Nina.
" Of course, why not?" Robert said and Susan smiled broadly at him. She was so proud of herself for not shying away from asking him out.
" Yay! We are going to have a great time. I can almost feel it," Susan said.
" We will, besides, it's been long since I went out," Robert lied.
He shut down his laptop and grabbed his coat. Susan remained behind to lock the door behind her before following him to his car.
They drove right around the corner where the club was and went in. They ordered a bottle of whisky and enjoyed their booze as they talked about random things.
