A ray of sunshine warms my eyelids. I dare not open them. I turn on my back and stretch, groaning. It’s a long time since I had slept so well! I take my courage in both hands and open my eyes, pointing them toward the ceiling. Glow stickers stuck by me and Sara when we were kids are still there. A smile creeps across my face thinking back to our acrobatics while fixing them. Sara was balanced on my shoulders while I was perched on a chair. Mom scolded us, fearing that something would happen, but we wanted to look at the starry sky after nightfall, indoors. I climb out of my cosy bed and drag myself to the bathroom.
