After everything that their family had been through, Jonathan could not believe Aurora’s audacity. He had tried to keep her and her mother apart. Now though, she had him by the short hairs. If he did not allow them to meet, then she would leave him to die.
Given no other choice, Jonathan nodded right away and said, “If you want to see your mother, I will arrange it for you. Why didn’t you tell me what you wanted right off? It could have saved us a lot of time and hard feelings!”
Aurora smiled in satisfaction. She did not know what force had led her to this spot, or how her father had ended up in a car accident at the exact same time and place that he had a year previous, but it seemed that it was working out in her favor – which was all that really mattered to her!
