Chapter Three

3674 Words
Rhoyda: Bell rang and third period had begun. I took a seat at my desk and waited for the teacher to began the class. Natasia and the others came in as well. Natasia took her seat behind me, then tapped me on the shoulder.  “What are you doing this weekend?” She asked me. I turned to her and shrugged. “Um, I’m not sure.” I told her. “Well, my parents are going out of town and I thought you, me and the others could have sleepover.”  “Um, I don’t know.”  When I looked at her, she wasn’t happy. She just rolled her eyes at me and sat back in her chair. I turned back to the front of the class and the teacher was writing something on the white board.  “Now class, I-.” He stopped when he heard a loud whistling noise coming from in the hall. When I say he was loud, it was a sharp and loud noise that made everybody turn to the door. The whistling stopped when a guy came to the door and walked in. Once I got a good look at him, my eyes widened. Boy was he f*****g delicious. s*x appeal at the highest tower. He had every girl in the class, swooning.  “I’m going to need you to button up your shirt.” Our teacher insisted. He looked down at his opened shirt and smirked. “Why?” He asked. Fuck, his voice. The teacher cleared his throat and extended his hand out to him. “What’s your name?” He asked him. “Dai Jin.” He told him. Dai looked around the classroom until his eyes landed on mine.  “Okay, well, you can take a seat at the empty desk next to Rhoyda.” The teacher told me. “I am Mr. Johnson and I’m your Math teacher, so go ahead and take your seat, so we can begin. Rhoyda, share your textbook please?” Dai walked over to where I was and instantly, my eyes traveled to the chain he was wearing around his neck. The ancient coin was hanging from it. My eyes widened and I covered my mouth, quickly to keep from gasping loudly. When he sat down, he smirked while keeping his eyes forward. “Please take out your homework from last night.” Mr. Johnson requested. I took out my homework and sat it on the table. Dai grabbed it and looked at it.  “Hey.” I said. “You’re a very smart girl.” He told me. “Well, at this school, you have to be.”  “Hey, Rhoy.” Natasia whispered. “I didn’t do mine. Can you help me out?” Dai looked at me as I sighed. I grabbed my paper from him and was ready to hand it over to her, but he snatched it back. “Don’t.” He told me. “That’s her loss.”  My eyes widened when he said that. He took my paper up the front with the rest of class.  “Who is that?” Natasia asked me. “And why didn’t you help me? Now, I’m going to get another ‘incomplete’.” I looked at her and rolled my eyes. “Maybe you should’ve thought about that instead of spending the night and riding dick.” I told her. Dai came back and took his seat. “What the hell is your problem, Rhoy?” Natasia asked me. “Why would you say that?” “She’s probably jealous because she didn’t f**k anybody.” Mika joked. I looked at Mika and she rolled her eyes at me. “Rhoy?” Natasia asked me. “She probably said it because that’s how she felt.” Dai chimed in. “Nobody was talking to you, new kid.” Leo stated. Dai turned around and the two of them glared at each other. “I don’t think you want to mess with me.” Dai told him. “I’m not afraid of you.” Leo said.  “You should be.” There was so much tension in the air between the two. I wanted to know more about Dai and why he was here. Was it because of the wish I made that night?  “Dai and Leo, please pay attention.” Mr. Johnson said. I looked at Natasia, who had her eyes on Dai the whole time. If he was there for me, it made me uncomfortable as f**k. I grabbed Dai’s hand and he turned to me. “Can we talk, privately?” I asked him. “Rhoy, you know him?” Natasia asked me. “Sure.” Dai got up and pulled me with him. We walked to the door and Mr. Johnson stopped us. “Where are you two going?” He asked. “I need to calm down for a second.” Dai told me. “Plus, she’s supposed to show me around the school.” “Hm, okay. Take the hall pass with you, please?” I walked over to Mr. Johnson’s desk and grabbed the wooden paddle that said ‘Hall Pass’ on it. Then, Dai and I walked out of the classroom. We rushed over to the door where it led us out to the school field. Once we got away from the building and away from any of the students, I pulled away from him, immediately. “Okay.” I took a deep breath. “Something’s not right.” Dai looked at me with sly smirk on his face. “What’s wrong?” He asked me. “Too much of a boyfriend for you?” My eyes widened. “You’re here for me?”  “Yes.”  He took a seat on the bleachers and stared back at me, making me nervous. “You’re gorgeous.” He told me. “You’re way too hot for me.” I told him. “Are you even real? What am I to do with you?” “Whatever you want. However, I have a rule for you.”  “And what’s that?” “If you want me to be your boyfriend, you must give me something in return.” The bell rang for class to end and I turned to see students coming out. “What is it?” I asked him, getting nervous. “If you want me to play your perfect boyfriend, you must give your soul to me.”  My eyes widened when he said that. “No.” I told him. “I won’t give you my soul.” “Then your wish is canceled.” I turned back to the school and my eyes widened when I saw Natasia and the others coming to me. “I’ll give you anything, but that.” I told him. “It’s not now.” Dai told me. “I just want your soul as soon as you hit 23 years old.” “Why?” “Why not? Just say ‘yes’.”  “And if I do, are you going to hurt me?” Dai shook his head. “No, I’ll make sure it’s painless for you.”  I sighed and turned back to him. “Fine, but you need to make it a later time. I still want to enjoy my life.”  “That can be arranged. So, do we have a deal?” “Rhoyda!” Natasia shouted my name. “Yes, we have a deal.” Dai’s eyes shifted to who was behind me before he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. “Then, I’ll be the boyfriend you want.” He whispered to me. His hand caressed my back. f**k, his scent was lethal to me. He smelled so f*****g good.  “Rhoyda!” Natasia shouted my name. I turned around and Dai wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. “Yes?” I answered her. Mika looked at me, then turned to Dai. “How do you guys know each other?” She asked him. “Facebook.” Dai answered.  “You were talking to someone?” Natasia asked me. “Why the hell am I just now finding out?” “It was a long distance thing.” I told her. “Where are you from?” Leo asked me. “South Korea.” Dai told them. “Really?” Mika asked.  I turned to him and he looked down at me. South Korea? Wow, really? He backed up and sat down on the bleachers again. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” I asked him. “I did.” Dai told me. “No, you didn’t.”  “Babe, check your f*******: messenger. I did, you were sleeping, though.”  I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone. Immediately, the messages from Dai and me appeared. I never knew this guy existed, so why would I message him? I went back up and I saw the message where he told me he was coming to America tomorrow. “Wow, how did I not see this?” I asked. “You were sleep.” Dai told me. “Hm. Um, okay.” “Hey, so, maybe you could talk some sense into her.” Natasia said to Dai. “What’s up?” He asked her.  “I’m having a little gathering at my house with us and a couple more people and she won’t come.”  “You don’t want to go?” Dai asked me. I shook my head and Dai nodded.  “Okay, how about this?” Dai asked. “We’ll have a gathering at my house.” I looked at him and he didn’t say anything. Ugh, I hope he wasn’t a broke boyfriend. Sighing, I thought I might give him the chance. I nodded my hand and Dai clapped his hands together. “Fine, my house, then. We can do it this weekend.”  “Okay, cool.” Leo said. “And I apologize for what happened in the classroom.”  “No problem.” Dai told him. “Just know I never back down from an argument or a fight once it comes to her.” Dai got up and walked over to me. He was about to grab my hand, but a call came through on his phone.  “Give me a second.” He told us and walked off. Natasia walked over to me and smiled. “I’m your best friend and I’m just now finding out you had a boyfriend?” She asked me. “Well, I didn’t think you would care.” I told her. “YES! He’s f*****g… Hot.”  I smiled and nodded. Hell, he shocked me as well. That wish really came through for me.  “So, why someone so far away?” Keisha asked me. “I don’t know. He hit me up and we just started talking.” “Hm, sounds suspicious.” Mika said. “Why would he be interested in you?” “Wow, Mika.” Liam said. “She’s not ugly at all.”  “Yeah, but she’s boring.”  I rolled my eyes and turned back to Dai, who rushed back over to me.  “I have to leave.” Dai told me. “Wait, you just got here.” I said, feeling defeated already. “Skip the rest of your day with me.”  “Ha, good luck. She’s loyal to the school.” Dai smiled at me and I gave him a small smile. “Fine, but only one day.” I told him, then I turned to the others. “Are you guys coming?” “I’ll show you guys where I stay.” Dai included. “Sure.” Mika told me. “Can you go get Jasmine, Nancy and Britney, Keisha?”  “Okay.”  Dai dialed a number on the phone and then, he placed it to his ear. “I have some people coming with me.” He said. “Can you bring a bigger car? Okay… Thanks.”  Dai hung up and turned to me. “Come on.” He told me. “Who was that?” I asked him. “Was that your mom?” “No.” He told me as he grabbed my hand and guided me over to the school gate exit.  I looked behind me and of course, Natasia and the others followed. We left the school and limousine popped up in front of us. The driver got out and opened the door for us. Dai released my hand and I got in first, then he did. The others got in as well, including the other girls that Mika invited. Once everybody was in, the driver shut the door and got back in the driver’s seat. I looked at him, confused. “Dai, are you…?” I asked. “Rich?” He asked me. “Maybe, baby.” Dai knocked on the window and the driver rolled the window down. “Where are we going to first?” Dai asked his guard. “To the estate, Sir.” The driver answered. Dai turned to me before slipping his arm around my shoulder. “Are you hungry?” He asked me. “No, it’s okay.” I told him. “I’ll eat something at the house.” “We have food at the house, ma’am.” The driver said. “Can you cook?” Dai asked. I nodded. “She’ll eat there.” Dai told his driver. Wow, I wonder how rich that guy was. He had an older guy calling him ‘Sir’ and driving him places, just how much power does he hold? I rested my head on him and he pulled me closer. “Also, your sister is out here and is waiting for you at the estate.”  “Belle?” “Yes.” Dai chuckled, then he kissed the top of my head.  “So, Dai, how old are you?” Jasmine asked.  “19.”  “And you’re a billionaire?” Leo asked. “Where are your parents?” “Ha, I’m an adult in America, right?” Dai asked with a smile on his face.  “Yeah.” I told him. “Then, why need them?” So far, he was doing good. He was caressing me and holding me. He didn’t reject me nor did he embarrass me. He answered the questions from my friends like he had it all written down. I liked that. Plus, he was dangerously hot. I couldn’t help, but to not stop looking at him. And every time, I lifted my head up, he would look down at me with that smirk that drove me insane.  “So, since I’m out here now, what do you want to do?” He asked me. “Um…” I replied, pressing my two index fingers together.  His hand snaked its way under my chin and he gently lifted my head up, making me look into his stony gray eyes.  “I..I don’t know.” I told him. “What is there to do?” He asked. “There’s the theme parks, beaches, movies and many other things.” Natasia asked. “What are you in the mood for?” “We can do all of that if you want to.” Dai told me. “In a day?” I asked him. “Ha ha, no. Okay, so how about a date at the movies?” “s**t, how about a drive-in?” Collin suggested. “It’s outside and you just in your cars.” “Or the field.” Keisha added. “Something like that needs a different car, though.”  “Well, what kind of cars do you have?” I asked him, curiously. “OH MY GOD!” Mika exclaimed. “You don’t stay here by yourself?” I turned to look out my side of the window and what I saw shocked the f**k out of me. His house was extremely huge. It looked like two mansions put together. There was a black metal gate around his house. The driver stopped for a second and he put a code in. The gate opened up and he pulled through it. There was so many cars and there were so many guards that I had lost count. The driver pulled in front of the stairs and stopped the car. The door to the back seat opened up and we all got out.  “Damn, dude.” Leo said. “Even I’m not that rich.” “Holy hell.” Natasia gasped.  Dai walked ahead of us and we followed behind him. Two guards stood in front of the door. Dai stopped in front of them and the guards looked at him before they opened the door for him. Once the doors opened up, a beautiful female stood in front of it, smiling hard. My god, when I saw she was beautiful, she was absolutely stunning.  “Brother..” She greeted him. Dai walked up to her and the two exchanged hugs. Then, her eyes shifted to me.  “Who is this?” She asked him. “You have friends?” “Hush.” Dai told her, then he pointed to me. “This is my girl, Rhoyda. Rhoyda, this is my sister, Belle.” Belle released Dai and walked over to me. I extended my hand to her and she pushed, wrapping her arms around me.  “He finally has a cute girlfriend.” She whispered to me. “A mortal, after all.” She released me and I gave her a small smile. “Are you hungry?” She asked me. “Well, he wants me to eat, so I guess I’ll make something here.” I shrugged. “Anybody else?” Belle asked. “Yes.” Mika said. “I’m starved.” Natasia told her. “Good. Spaghetti with meat sauce with a side of garlic bread, anyone?” Okay, that caused my stomach to growl. Dai looked at me and chuckled. “Okay, let’s go.” Dai reached for my hand. I walked over to him and grabbed his hand, then we all walked into the house.  *** An hour after the house tour: “Dude, your place is big!” Leo exclaimed. “How much is this?” “We got one more place and that’s my room.” Dai said as we all walked into the dining hall.  “Food’s ready.” Belle told us as soon as we came in. “Take your seats at the table.”  We all got to the table and of course, I sat by Dai. A guard came in with a folder and handed it to Dai. Dai signed the papers and the guard took it before walking off.  “You have a big field.” Natasia stated. “It’s for my tigers to have somewhere to go without being caged all day.” Dai answered while looking at his phone.  That was a big pet peeve of mine. I hated when someone was on the phone while I was with them.  “So do you work?” Liam asked.  “Yes.” Dai answered.  “He better.” Belle responded. “Mom and dad will disown him if they found out their only boy child was lonely.”  “They’ll have my f*****g head.” Dai added.  “But still, brother. Must you have all those places to yourself. Let me work at least a couple for you.” “And let you slow down my funds? No thank you.”  “You’re almost close to being a trillionaire. Don’t be greedy.” “Hm. Where’s the food, Sis?” Belle flipped him off before she grabbed the bell and rang it. I sighed before I turned the other way. Natasia looked at me and smiled.  “Hey..” Dai said. I felt his hand caressed my arm and I turned to look at him. Immediately, he got up and he slammed his lips to mine. My eyes widened and he when he pulled away, I turned away from him. The doors to the kitchen opened up and the waiters brought the plates out. They sat our plates down in front of us and the smell made my stomach growl once more. As soon as I got my plate, I dug in.  “Wow, you were starving.” Natasia chuckled. I looked up at her, then I turned to Dai, who was watching me the whole time.  “There’s more, babe.” He told me. I swallowed the noodles and wiped the sauce off my lips. Then, I turned the other way and began to eat, quietly.  “So now that you know where I live, will you spend the night with me?” Dai asked. I finished the last bit of food on my plate, then I turned back to face him. “Um... If you want me to.” I shrugged. “Miss thing here is a virgin, so I don’t think she’s ever gotten that close to a guy before.” Mika sighed. Wow.. Ugh! I looked at Mika and shook my head at her.  “Really?” Dai asked me. I sat back in the chair and sighed.  “She is.” Natasia told him. “Nothing wrong with that.” Dai told me.  When I didn’t say anything, Dai reached over the table and grabbed my hand, siding his fingers in between mine. I looked at him and he gave me the cutest smile ever.  “Can we talk?” He asked me, getting up from the table.  “Yeah.” I nodded as I got up as well. He pulled me close to him and we walked out of the dining hall. We walked up a couple stairs and then, we headed down the hall towards his room.
