West laughed as he clinks his glass with our friends, I slowly sipped my wine and look at West happy face. He’s getting married, I thought he was a sane person, because who in their right mind would tie themselves down and lose their freedom? Certainly not me.
“And because this is your last day, syempre dating gawi truth or dare!” sabay na kinantsawan nina Owen, West and Oscar si Derric.
“C’mon guys, parang di kayo nag enjoy nung college laruin toh!” I raised my hands in defeat.
“I’m in”
“Damn Derric and Duke you guys have double D connection. Fine, may choice ba ako?” Oscar shakes his head, West and Owen sighed in defeat.
“Okay, okay” naglabas ng cards si Derric as the bottle starts to spin. Oscar stops the bottle pointing at me. Damn this guy.
“Paano ba yan? Duke first” I sipped my wine and nod my head as he flashes his smirk.
“Okay, hmmmm. Sakto yung dare—”
“Truth” I cut him off, there’s no way I’ll do the dare. Disgustingly creative pa naman si Derric pagdating sa dare.
“Boooo! Ikakasal si West bukas oh, siya ang masusunod”
“No way!” Damn these two, both has telepathy connections pagdating sa dare.
“How about this, I’ll shuffle the cards and ako yung bubunot ng dare” Oscar suggested.
“Fine by me” I smiled at the two-moron named Derric and West.
“Coward” inabot ni Derric kay Oscar yung card after shuffling, Oscar chooses one card.
“Okay, dare. Get the number of the first girl who enter the room and take her home.”
“Easy” A smile of victory flash in my lips. I press the call button that connects our room on to the counter.
“Hello, can I get our bill also pwedeng babae yung kumuha ng bill namin. Thanks” I press the end call and Derric starts to celebrate. Lasing na toh for sure. After a few minutes a girl entered our room.
“Good evening, here’s your bill gentleman” senenyasan ko ito using my finger. She walks closer to me. She looks young to my taste, black shoulder length hair that suits her morena skin, singkit and she looks uptight. Her honey-colored eyes suit her well, buti na lang bawi sa mata kasi mukhang patpatin. She’s too thin. Not my type pero pwede na. I flash my smile at her.
“Hi, can I get your number?” straight to the point na tanong ko sa kaniya. She smiled back and looked me in the eye.
“The only thing you can get is your bill, sir” I cross my arms in my chest.
“But I want your number, anong gagawin natin?” She looked annoyed, but I don’t care, bibigay din siya for sure.
“Fine” nagsulat siya sa mismong bill at nilapag yun sa harap ko. I bit my lower lip to suppress my smile as I type her number. Nakita ko pang kinuha niya yung phone niya sa bulsa ng apron na suot.
“Hello” masungit ako nitong tiningnan
“Happy, sir” then she hung up my call.
“Well, I’m satisfied” I return the bill to her.
“Mamaya ko na kunin yung bill, we are still going to order” I watched in amusement as her lips form into thin line. Still, she smiled even though she looks pissed.
After the girl left, I looked at my 4 friends still enjoying the game. Owen drinking the tequila straight to its bottle. That’s going to leave a huge mess into his head tomorrow.
“Bathroom lang ako” bulong ko kay Oscar sa tabi ko.
I roam my eyes on the first floor of the bar and there I saw my target for tonight. My love so sweet for tonight, a smirk slowly forms on my lips.
“Hi” tiningnan ko yung name plate niya “Lili, nice name. I’m Duke” I saw irritation in her eyes, but I dismissed it.
“Can I get you a drink?” bahagya akong lumapit sa kaniya dahil sa lakas ng music sa bar, agad itong umatras.
“No, sir. May trabaho pa po ako. Excuse me” agad itong umalis sa harap ko na para bang may nakakahawa akong sakit. I admit that hurt my ego, now I’m a bit interested. Pinagmasdan ko ito habang nagseserve siya sa isang table, then a man suddenly touches her arm pulling her into his embrace. Well destiny is in my side, tumayo ako para sana lapitan siya and be a knight in shining armor pero agad na nakarating yung mga bouncer sa harap nung lalaki at agad na hinawakan ang dalawang braso nito.
A man suddenly butts in.
“Bago ba kayo dito? Ang lakas niyong gawin yan sa bar ko, no one can touch my employee here in my bar. Hala! Sige dahilhin niyo yan sa presinto, I’ll file a charge against them.”
“Hey, man” agad na lumingon si Grey sa harap ko.
“Duke? Bro, sana sinabi mo bibisita ka sa bar inentertain sana kita”
“How about a discount?” I jokingly ask.
“No way! Malulugi ako sayo. Btw, ikaw lang?”
“Nope, I’m with West. He’s getting married tomorrow” Grey chuckled.
“One down four to go. Ikaw kelan?” I shake my head then look at the girl beside her, Lili.
“Anytime I can get married, basta itong employee mo yung bride” nilingon ni Grey si Lili and shakes his head.
“Huwag mo ng idamay sa laro mo si Lili, she’s a good employee. Also, she’s 19, elementary siya nung nasa college ka.” Damn this guy!
Pero 19! It feels unlawful, yep. This is illegal!
Mission abort!
“Hindi mo naman agad sinabi na 19 ka? We can be friends perhaps?” sabay abot ng kamay ko sa kaniya, tiningnan niya yun saglit sabay tingin sa mukha ko. Don’t look at me like that, baka matempt ka.
“Boss, uwi na po ako. May class po ako by 7 tomorrow” This girl ignores me. Me, as in Duke Terrance Hart is being ignored by a freaking waitress!
“11 na pala, sige bihis ka na. Hatid kita pauwi” she just nods then left without even glancing at me. I know Grey notice me looking at her employee.
“Wag mo ng damdamin yun, pare. Ganun lang talaga si Lili, kung may pera nga lang yun for sure di siya magtatrabaho sa bar ko. Sige, hatid ko lang siya” I have an idea.
“Bakit hindi lang ako ang maghatid sa kaniya, baka kailanganin ka sa bar?” Grey shakes his head while smiling.
“Nice try pare, but no”
“Baka magselos yung girlfriend mo na may ihahatid kang ibang babae. That crazy girlfriend of yours is possessive” Grey foolishly smiles.
Damn, nag iiba talaga toh pag inlove. I feel disgusted.
“My girlfriend knows, Lili. Nice try ulit pero iba na lang itarget mo, besides no one can resist the Billionaire Duke Terrance Hart.”
No one can resist Duke Terrance Hart, my ass! That guy for sure is mocking me!
Lumabas ako ng bar to grab a cigarette, out of boredom ay naisipan kongi dial yung number ni Lili. I smiled when she answered it.
“Hel—”
“The number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.”
The hell!
Muli kong denial ang phone nito.
“The number you have dia---” inis kong pinatay yung tawag.
“That girl blocks me!”
Damn you, just wait.
