It was Thursday night when Lucas finally pulled up out front of Carlos’ house. The arrangements he had made took longer than he had expected but everything was falling in to place. He was getting out of his car when Carlos and his boys came out of the house their guns were drawn as they circled him. It was an alarming welcome. “Where the hell have you been?” Carlos growled c*****g the hammer. “Racing,” Lucas confessed. “Our business was concluded, so I went out to play.” “I say when our business is concluded.” “Given that you haven’t even paid me yet I wouldn’t be making too many demands of me,” Lucas warned. “I did your deal; until you bring in more product my time is mine.” “Don’t talk to me that way,” Carlos warned.
