Jake was shot once in New Hampshire two years ago. After that, he had not returned to that place until now. It is because of this deadly danger that Billy, when he hears Jake, wants to go to New Hampshire. And he knew that only Aurora could tell Jake not to go there.
Immediately after these stories, Aurora tells Billy to go home. She would choose the words to say to Jake. But that was just her word to reassure Billy right now.
Aurora sat alone in the room but could not close her eyes. She still remembered the promise to Billy. She sighed heavily like a ghost in the dark.
Aurora smiled bitterly as a clown dropped from her drama. She walked to the door of the staff cafeteria but hesitated for a long time without daring to open the door and enter.
Aurora sat on the floor, leaning against the door. She didn't understand what she wanted. After everything she's been through, she's like a masterless piece.
Things involving Jake and the Thunder Electronics Corporation made her so confused and bewildered that she was sad. Aurora felt her throat burn. She opened the door softly and entered.
All the lights at the headquarters of Thunder Electronics Corporation had gone out, and she groped in the dark, trying to locate the monstrously large refrigerator.
The refrigerator door has just been opened. Soft light radiates throughout the dining area of the Group headquarters. Aurora was stunned when she saw a figure on the opposite side appear. Aurora was startled. It was after she calmed herself that she realized it was Jake.
“Are you still here?” Aurora babbled, avoiding Jake's gaze like the point of a sword in her direction.
“Um! Why don't you go home?" Jake gently took Aurora's hands. She was slightly surprised when she pulled her hand back, but he was too tight.
Aurora hastily lowered her head. Because Jake's breath was hot in her hair, she said, "I'm going down for a drink."
Jake smiled gently, full of amusement. He took a deep breath, trying to capture the full scent of Aurora's scented oak and cedar hair. The smell was so pleasant that he could fall asleep at any moment. Feelings of pleasure crept through Jake's mind.
“I…really… there's something I want to tell you… Jake, can you not go to New Hampshire? Couldn't he close his eyes and ignore the dangers that lie ahead? Is the IT infrastructure project important, or is your life more important? If you see me as a friend, please stay in New York. Don't go to New Hampshire!" Aurora looked up at Jake with tears in her eyes, making him both heartbroken but happy at the same time.
"Thank you. But I want to get advice from my girlfriend, not a friend. Maybe that's what I'm missing. Aurora, do you understand me? Right now, all I need is you.” Jake gently smiled, familiar. He did not hesitate to place a kiss on Aurora's forehead.
She was no longer trying to avoid him but was cutely shy. Jake could still feel Aurora's cheeks heating up in the darkness, his chest heaving like a tidal wave.
“How many times have I told you I don't want to be your girlfriend… uh…” Aurora tried to react, but before the words could be finished, Jake quickly pressed her against the wall.
He passionately kissed her. Aurora's ragged breathing, dazed eyes, and powerful undulations in her chest stimulated him relentlessly. Jake wants to turn Aurora into a precious treasure just for him and no one else.
Aurora had no intention of resisting. She gently returned Jake's kiss, pleasing him and constantly controlling her small, luscious lips as if he were cradling a small rose petal.
Aurora seemed to suffocate in front of Jake. She slowly put her hand on Jake's firm chest for support to push him away. But he was too strong to hold her hand around his back and lock it, his other hands wrapped around the back of her neck.
Jake touched her thin back lightly. Aurora begins to resist Jake's tremendous pressure. She bit his lips, which made him feel even more irritated.
Jake still didn't stop. He continued to devour her lips, making them swollen and red as if he was applying lip gloss. He bit her lips hard, leaving a strange red drop of blood on her lips.
Not stopping there, Jake touched Aurora's neck and collarbone lightly, leaving dark, seductive kiss marks. She hesitantly pushed him away and gasped.
Never had she felt Jake so enthusiastic and didn't want to respond to him at all. Aurora ran her fingers over the corner of her lips, glaring at him. As for Jake, he smiled at Aurora.
“How many times have I told you? Aurora… I love you… I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I want you to be my lover, not just a friend. Did you see what I said, right? I'm going crazy for you."
Jake stroked Aurora's straight hair, looked directly into her lakeside watery eyes, and suddenly hugged her. A hot hug and lots of love.
"Don't try to trick me. Why do you always find a way to molest me sometimes? Do you believe I will sue you for abuse?”
Aurora burst into tears of frustration. She also can't tell if this moving mass is actual or just a play to create a psychological shield for Jake.
"I'm not groping or abusing you but loving you, do you understand? Everything I do comes from my heart, my feelings. Don't you believe me? I am really honest with you. No matter what happens, I still choose you. Haven't you completely confessed everything to me? Do you have any questions?”
Jake shook Aurora's shoulders, and she saw his open eyes on her. But for some reason, Aurora herself hesitated, hesitant to step forward any further.
Aurora looked at Jake with strange, meaningful eyes, and then she left the staff cafeteria, leaving him alone, dumbfounded. Aurora did not know that Tommy had seen everything from afar and was extremely surprised about his relationship with her.
When Tommy appeared at the door, Aurora had just returned to the Special Strategy room. Aurora sighed: "Is today the meeting of the Hunt family?"
Tommy just stared pitifully at Aurora. His eyes seemed to want to say something, and then suddenly, he asked Aurora: "I have something to ask you… Aurora, did you once work as a teacher in Long Beach?"
Tommy's question startled Aurora awake. She looked at him for a long time, her nostalgic memory portraying a few dashes of fanciful memories.
The story goes back to two years ago when Aurora was sent by the Orphanage to social work as an intern teacher in Long Beach to earn extra income when she could not find a stable job.
“Don't talk too much! Keep going to school or get out of this house!” Lana's ferocious, tsunami-like voice, Tommy's mother, sounded like a word bell to Tommy.
As of today, Tommy has been absent from school for more than three days, with no illness, no specific reason, just lounging on the bed drying like a salted fish in the port market.
Lana looked bored at her youngest son with an uneasy feeling in her heart. When discussing Tommy's education, this is not the first time she has had high blood pressure. One year late for school, one year in class... just because of laziness, not interested in going to school with friends.
Lana always felt that if she and her wealthy husband, Joseph, entrusted the future, the Hunt family's fortune, to him, it would be like ruining everything.
Lana was depressed about only Mr. Joseph, her husband, who indulged her children in her weakness. If it weren't for him constantly interrupting the time, she time was teaching Tommy, and this day would never have been.
Although Lana kept pushing the large rattan whip gathered from four small rattan whips towards Tommy, he was still innocently lying on his stomach on the wooden bed. His body had almost evolved with the fierce whips from Lana.
Tommy sighed, stretching lazily to yawn when suddenly Lana threw her hand so hard that the rattan whip hit him right in the butt. Tommy wailed. He was in so much pain that he had tears in his eyes. Lana was about to strike again when Mr. Joseph appeared to stop him.
He pointed his finger at her face and huffed in annoyance: "Even the cat and dog in your house won't hit you. Why do you keep aiming at Tommy? You want the police to come here and arrest you for violence?”
