The theme park was more than what Brook had expected. There was so much to do they did not know where to begin. First, they rode therollercoaster which was bigger than any of the ones she had seen at home. Theyhad sat right up front in the first car, andinstead of a lap bar, it had a five-pointsafety harness. As the ride started, Brook heldonto the harness. It was slow at first but quickly picked up speed, and soon they were whipping and snapping aroundcorners flying up and down drops. They were ripping through loops upside down.Brook screamed with excitement, but theywere going so fast the air around them muted hervoice. Theride came to an end, and both Brook andDawson were laughing so hard. Brook’s knees were weak from the ride, and she stumbled at first before catchingherself and getting her balance back. Dawson held her arm offering her support.“Are you alright?” He asked. “Thatrocked!” She laughed. “Let’s do it again.” Theymoved on to some other rides. Dawson wanted to check out the haunted mansion. They rode through the extravagant haunted house and Brook had to admit it wasthe best she had ever been too. There was even a big dance hall where they usedholograms to make dancing ghosts in period costumes. It special FX was wonderful. Brook kept pointing at everythingeagerly. Afterthe Haunted Mansion, they wanderedthrough the fun house. Making faces in the mirrors and running through the mazeof moving and shifting floors. It turned out that Brook’s balance was farbetter than Dawson’s as he fell more than once. Brook laughed so hard when hehad to crawl through the spinning tunnel at theend. She reached down and offered him a hand as Dawson reached the endmaking fun of his superb balance. “You need to spend more time on that boat ofyours and develop a more balanced center.” Brook teased. “Ishall keep that in mind,” Dawson saidcoming to his feet still holding on to her. He was leaning against her forstability until he found his balance once more and Brook looked up into hiseyes. A quiet hush fell over them. His eyes were so sensuous and alluring; they could tempt the devil. Brook pulled awaybreaking the spell between them. If she was not careful, she might fall victim to his charms.“What would you like to do now?” “Let’sride the tilt-a-whirl.” She said running ahead of him. Brook glanced back tosee Dawson chasing after her. He caught up with her at the ride line, and she felt his arms wrap around her waistscooping her off her feet. Dawson spun Brook around, and she let out a squeal. “Put me down.” “Thisis for making fun of me.” He said and began to tickle her sides. Brook couldnot stop laughing as she squirmed and struggled against his hold. She beggedfor mercy between high pitched squeals, andsoon Dawson released her. Brook staggered away putting distance between them.Dawson stood up straight and adjusted his t-shirt looking smugly. “There, nowthat we have established who the boss is…” Brookplanted her hands on her hips. “Oh really.” She said tackling Dawson drivingher shoulder into his chest and knocking him off his feet. They tumbled over, and Brook climbed on top of Dawson straddlinghis legs. She began to tickle him until he laughed and swatted at her hands.“Looks like you can’t stay on your feet today.” She teased. Dawsongrabbed Brook by the arms and tossed her off him. They both scrambled to theirfeet and Brook prepared for another match. “I surrender.” He said holding uphis hands. “You win.” Darnright she won, she wrestled country boys, roped cows, there was no doubt shecould whip a pansy city boy’s butt. “Alright, I’ll go easy on you this time.”She said getting back in line. Thelineup did not take long to get through and when it was their time to ride theyraced to the car to see who got to ride on the inside. Dawson beat Brook to thecar and stuck out his tongue victorious. She relinquished the inside seat andDawson jumped in first. Brook climbed in next to him on the outside before thelap bar came down on them. Dawson put his arms up in the air as the ride beganand Brook followed suit. Theforce of the ride pulled them back against the seat, and when the car tilted sideways,Brook slid across the seat and found herself pinned against Dawson’s hard body. The ride kept her stuck against him. Dawson’s arms came down around her, and he squeezed her tight as the ride flungthem around. The ride came to an end, andthe car set itself right. As the ride operator came around to release thesecurity bar, Brook noticed Dawson wasstill holding on to her. Shelooked up at him, and he smiled at her.“Cut me some slack I’m still a guy.” Brooklaughed and shook her head as he released her. “You are terrible.” She saidclimbing out of the car. “Oh,come on. The deal was no expectations. Not that I couldn’t try.” He saidfollowing her off the ride. “You have to admit you are having fun with me.” She was having fun. Dawson was not as big a prude aseveryone made him out to be. He was more fun then she had thought. Hewas playful and wild. He could be a lot of fun if people only gave him a chance. “Ok,maybe you’re a little fun.” She said. “But are you as daring as I am?” Sheasked. “Anythingyou’re up for I’m up for.” He said. “Just name it,”Dawson said taking her challenge. Brook grinned and took his hand she led him through the park pointing up high to the bungee jump. The smile faded from Dawson’sface. “Are you nuts?” “Comeon it will be a blast.” She said tugging on his arm and pulling him toward thestairs. “Thereis fun, and then there is crazy,” Dawson said as they started climbingthe staircase to the top. “It’sperfectly safe, or they wouldn’t have it,” Brook assured him. “I’mnot going to do this.” He complained as they neared to top platform. “Whynot I’m going to do it. Surely you’re not going to let me show you up.” Brookteased. “LuckilyI don’t fall for that macho male bullshit,”Dawson said as they reached the top. “That won’t make me jump.” He informed herwith a smile. She stood there staring at him while the attendant secured thetether cord to her legs. Another began to do the same to Dawson but stoppedwhen he protested. “No, I’m not jumping.” “Ifyou jump I’ll give you a kiss.” She promised tocatch his attention. Dawsonstared at her trying to decide if it would be worth it. He inched to the edgeand looked over. “A real kiss none of those pecks on the cheeks like you wouldgive your brother.” He clarified. “Areal kiss.” She promised. “If you do this.” Dawsonlooked down at the attendant. “Make sure it’s good and tight I don’t want it is falling off.” Brook tried to repress her laughter. She found it amusing; manipulatingmen was so easy. Once they were both secured, they were given instructions getting ready to jump. Dawson looked over the edgeone more time his hands shaking. “Man, that is a long way down.” He said withsome fear in his voice. Brookstood with her back to the edge and looked Dawson in the face. She smiled andtook his hand in hers. “You can do it.” She smiled. “Just don’t think aboutit.” She said stepping back off the platform pulling Dawson off with her. Hescreamed as she dragged him down with her both falling toward the ground handin hand. Frightened Dawson clung to Brook, andthey dropped like a rock. He screamed, andshe laughed. Theycame to the end of their tethers and bounced back up. The recoil startled Brook, and she held on to Dawson as they flewback upwards and then began to fall once more. “I can’t believe you did that tome.” He yelled as they came to the end of their rope and bounced once moreswinging back and forth upside down twenty feet above a crash pad. “You’reinsane.” Brooklaughed. “But it was fun; you have toadmit.” She said. “What could be better?” Dawson’smouth crushed against hers, his tongue swept her mouth. His embrace tightened holdingBrook harder against him as he kissed her with such unbridled passion. Brookhad been kissed many times before but never like this. He broke their kiss andwhispered against her lips. “That for one.” Perhaps it was his kiss or the factthat they were still upside down, but herhead was spinning. Dawson released Brook, andshe swung away from him. The ground attendants carefully assisted them both tothe ground. As she stood on her own two feet,Brook felt flushed and warm. Damn Dawson, he had managed to surprise her andcatch her completely off guard with that kiss. Brookmade her way around to meet Dawson at the exit. Dawson was already at the gategrinning as he had just won some big bet.She felt her cheeks grow warm and Brook was sure she was blushing. She shot himan annoyed glare as he opened the gate and let her pass. “Are you pleased with yourself?” She asked as he followed close behind her. “You’re blushing.” He said proudly. “Don’t get cocky hotshot. I was just hanging upside down;the blood has rushed to my face.” Brook said. She wished herreaction to his kiss had not been so visible. “Oh, so it’s going to be like that is it?” He asked. “Sorry if you can’t handle the truth.” She smirked. Dawson reached out and grabbed her armstopping Brook short. He spun her around and pulled her into his arms. His handplunged into her hair cradling the side of her face tilting her face up to his.His mouth claimed hers in a deep sensual kiss that made her knees feel weak.Brook leaned her body into his for stability. He was a hard wall of muscle, and the feel of his body against hers excitedBrook in ways she had only heard in other’s stories. Dawson’s lips lifted from hers, but Brook could still feel his warm breath on her moist lips. “You weren’t upside down now.” He whispered. Herhead felt clouded. She looked into his eyes and saw a spark of amusement. Hewas enjoying playing with her. Annoyed Brook clenched her hand into a fist andslugged him in the jaw. Dawson’s head snapped to the side, and his hand went to the place where she had just struck him.Dawson was shocked, and he stared at herwith wide eyes. Brook smiled sweetly at him. “I said one kiss, andyou already had it.” Dawsonshook it off and flashed her one of his dazzling smiles. “Yes, I did. How rude of me.” He said touching his sore jaw once more. “I won’t make that mistake twice.” “Good,” Brook said hoping the sting in her hand would stopsoon. She had not meant to hit him so hard. “Maybe we should stop for something to eat.” She suggested. “Alright.” Dawson agreed to usherher through the park. “In my case,I may need a straw.”
