Chapter FourJosey sat down at the dining room table, considering the daunting task ahead, and announced to the empty room, “This sucks.” A hundred pages of her psychology text to read by tomorrow. She opened the book and read the first page, retaining almost nothing. Her thoughts returned to topics that had been consuming her attention; bodies being wheeled from the Prestige building, Lynn off somewhere without explanation, and sought by the police. Caution and deliberation were a part of Lynn, and mysterious travel without telling the family was not like her. So what was going on? Josey looked at the clock on the mantle and saw it was just after noon. It would be a long afternoon.
