Book 1 Chapter Ten

"Mum stop giving him chocolate! He'll be up all night", I said as I grabbed the chocolate from my Mum's hand and put it in my mouth.
"Come on, let's get ready for today", I said as I picked up my little gremlin and carried him to his room. I put him on his changing table getting out his clothes that he would be wearing when we go out.
I decided on a pair of jeans, a black one piece, a jacket and some Chuck Taylors for babies. I changed him and then brushed his hair. He got a hold of the baby powder while I was packing a bag with diapers, wipes, spare clothes, his teething toy, his rattle, bottle with formula and baby food.
"Mason give me that-", but I was cut off by powder hitting my face.
I opened my eyes to see him squealing with laughter.
"Honey you have visitors! Bring Mason", Mum yelled from downstairs.
Suddenly Adams smell hit my nose. Why the hell is he here?
"Um... hang on Mason just made a mess", I shouted back.
Shit. s**t. s**t. Not now. Okay, Sarah, you can do this just breath. He's Mason's father and nothing to me. Just act normal.
"Come on little man", I said.
He still wouldn't stop laughing. I picked him up and walked down the stairs, everyone looked up at me saying how cute little Mason is.
Adam just stood there and stared at Mason. Mason started laughing like mad.
"Mas what's so funny-", but I was cut off once again with a face full of powder, making everyone laugh at me. God, I forgot he had the powder.
"Aww dear you look so cute even with a face covered in powder", Adams mum said giggling at me. I smiled.
"I thought I wouldn't be seeing you till later today?", I said, wiping my face making sure Mason didn't have the powder in his hands.
"Yes but we were too excited to meet this little guy, can I hold him?", I nodded and gave Mason to her.
"I'm going to go get changed I'll be right back", I said as I started walking upstairs but stopped because Mason started crying.
"Aww he's a Mummy's boy isn't he?", Layla Adams Mum said smiling.
"Aww Mason, Mamma will be back soon I promise", I said giving him kisses all over his face, making him do his cute giggle.
Everyone stared and smiled as I walked to my room.
I walked to my closet to choose my outfit. I chose a pair of light blue skinny jeans, a black singlet, a forest green cardigan, some star earrings and a pair of Chuck Taylors, also like Mason's.
I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and let my hair down. I did my makeup, which was mascara, eyeliner and bubble-gum lip balm. I went back to my closet and took my phone off the charger. I heard my door open and close.
"Mum is that you?", I walked out of my closet only to be pinned against the wall. Adam stood there smirking at me. I tried pushing him off.
"What do you want? Why are you in my room?", I asked glaring at him. He laughed.
"I came to see my mate", he said smirking at me.
"I'm not your mate anymore. You rejected me remember, so can you let go so I can go back to my son", I said pushing him off me. His smirk stayed on his face the whole time. I turned to walk away but he stopped me.
"Is he mine, my Pup?", he asked looking at me.
"Yes", I said trying to walk out but he stopped me again as I was starting to get annoyed. I pushed him out of the way and started walking back downstairs.
"Oh honey finally, Mr and Mrs Blake will be joining us along with Adam, so come on", Mum said as I smiled at her and the others but in my head, I wanted to strangle my mother.
Mason held up his arms and pouted giving me puppy dog eyes. My little angel. I laughed and took him in my arms cuddling him.
"Come on then", Mum said as we all walked out towards our cars.
I was in the car with Mason, Adam's Dad and the one and only Ex-mate, Adam. Thanks, Mum. Mason sat in the back with Adam and Adam's dad sat up front while I drove. Every once in awhile Mason would let out little giggles. I would look in the mirror to see Adam pulling faces at Mason.
"The little one likes you, Adam, babies never liked you. They would always get sick or start crying but this one's different", Luke said. I smiled and continued driving.
"So Sarah I heard you did photography while you were away. Did you enjoy it?", Luke asked looking over at me.
" Yes, I love it. The best part about it was that I would go to take wedding photos and see different couples, but the worst thing was that I wasn't allowed to bring Mason so he was always hanging out with Lena my assistant. I mean I love Lena she's so nice and Mason loves her too but I want to be with Mason and spend more time with him", I said looking at Mason in the mirror.
"So do you plan on getting married soon?", Luke asked grinning at me.
"Oh no, it's just me and Mason", I said as we stopped at a red light.
"Oh I'm sorry, I just thought you had found your mate since you have Mason", Luke said looking sorry.
"It's okay, I did find my mate but things didn't go well. We made love but the morning after he rejected me and then the weeks after that I found out I was pregnant", I said as the light turned green. Luke's eyes changed colour. He was angry.
"Who is he? Where is he? How could someone do that to you and Mason? I'm so sorry Sarah", he said controlling his anger.
"Its' fine I'm better without him and so is Mason I'm glad he's out of our lives, the reason why I'm still here is that little one back there. He's my world and heart and always will be if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here right now and I'm grateful to have him in my life".
