Strug Life

Episode Two

AUGUST:

“Daddy can we go to the park today.” My four year old daughter Avery asked. We were at store, I’m the owner of a shoe store called ‘G’lamous Shoes’. I had to make some type of profit for my babygirl and the family and being a drug dealer was not a choice. I nodded my head. “Yeah we can go just let me finish up this here part.” I told her and she sat down patiently. After I was done, I told my cousin Sneak who also was the owner of my store that I was gone and to lock up. Sneak was my blood cousin and I trusted him to deal with all my important s**t and vise versa.

On our way to the park Avery was in the backseat telling me about her best friend named Arielle. “And she even have long hair like me daddy, she says her mom does it every night before she goes to bed.” She had. When we got to the park, I helped her out and she ran to the playground and to this little girl.

MELANIE:

Sine I was off today I decided to take Arielle to the park since we rarely spend anytime together since I be at work and she at daycare. It’s sad how her father just up and left without any explanation or anything but I made it my number one priority to fill that hole up.

“Omg Avery.” I heard Arielle said before taking off. “Wait Ari!” I yelled running behind her until I seen a little girl running toward Arielle and who I’m assuming was her father behind her.

As the girls reached each other, they engulfed one another into a hug. “Mommy this is my best friend Avery.” She said with a big smile on her face. “And daddy this is Arielle my best friend I was telling you about in the car.” The little girl said. She was just too cute.

“Hello cutie, how are you?” I said bending down to her level. “I’m fine.” She said giggling. After I told Avery she and her friend can go play and they both took off holding hands of course.

“So I see our girls best friends huh?” Arielle dad said as we sat on a nearby bench where we can keep a good eye on the girls. “Uh, yes I see that-“ I said waiting for him to tell me his name.

“My name August love, and you’re Melanie you was our waiter the other day.” He said reminding me.

After me and August chit chatted for a while we went and join the girls since there was nothing else for us to do and those benches were hurting my butt. “Daddy could Ari sleep over tonight?” Avery asked him. “I don’t know baby you have to ask Mrs. Melanie here first.” He said pointing to me. After I agreed for Arielle to sleep over at August house, we left the park with August trailing us to my house so that I can get Arielle things ready.

AUGUST:

“Would you guys like something to drink or anything before I get Ari ready?” Melanie asked as we sat down. “No thank you love, we’re good but thank though.” I said and she nodded and walked off. A few minutes went by and her and Arielle were walking down the hall. 

“Well here she go and have fun girls.” She said kissing Arielle’s cheek. “Oh wait, imma need your number just in case something happens.” I said taking my phone from my pocket. “Yeah, you’re right.” She said and we switched phones. 

“Alright you guys have fun.” She said walking is to the door. “Goodnight mommy love you.” Arielle said as we got in the car and she waved.
