A twinge of pain shot through my chest.
“Cici?” El said in a nervous voice.
“Sorry. It just set in that I’m going to be an aunt,” I smiled again, pulling both El and Kat into a hug.
“Girl you need to shower,” Kat said, pushing me away.
“Yeah. My nose is extra sensitive now,” El said.
“Alright, alright,” I said, putting up my hands.
I walked to the shower and placed my hand under the water to check the temperature. Pulling off the shirt and dropping it to the ground I heard Kat and El gasp.
“What?” I stepped into the water without looking at them.
“How are you feeling?”
“Tired. It’s been a long day”
I reached for some soap and realized I left everything on the counter.
