HELLO, STRANGER

CHAPTER 3

KAI'S POV

I now faced the dean. Dean was quietly and seriously arranging the papers. She coughed and looked at me seriously.

"You know the news about the death of the three has spread around the campus." Dean said.

"Yes."

"How did you get into this issue? What do you have to do with their suicide?" I was kinda offensive about what she said.

"I have explained this to you many times. I only refused their request because I was not ready yet. How difficult is it to understand? I mean I already talk to the detectives and they still investigating." I said.

"I know. I just want things to go back to the way they used to be at my school. There are many who say that since you entered here, the suicides have been one after the other."

is she serious Does she blame me for their death? I didn't say that they should kill themselves or anything but they treating me like I need to be guilty, I'm the one who did it. They can't even prove anything to me if I did something bad to them. First they showed the cctv and it was proof that the three of us were talking, second they knew Kayla was bullying me, they should have reported it because they saw how Kayla and her friends treated me.

"I am only concerned about the safety of each of my students here at this school." She said.

*Knocking*

*Door's open*

"Excuse me Mrs. Dean but the investigation is about to begin." My favorite professor Mr. Felix said.

"Go back to class Liam. Our class will start later." Mr. Felix said with a smile. I can't blame a lot of people who likes him because this guy is so kind and considerate. Just now he saved me from the dean talking to me.

"Thank you sir. Excuse me Mrs. Dean." I said and walked out.

Mr. Felix and I walked together. Now that I'm close to him, I can smell how fragrant and fresh he is. It is still formal and mirrored. He is so handsome. The smile on his face does not disappear even in the situation that is happening here on campus.

"Don't pay attention to Mrs. Dean, maybe she's just scared but that doesn't mean she's accusing you. Even if she talks like that, she's also scared of your situation so don't take what she says to heart." Mr. Felix said with a smile.I was happy and my heart was softened by what he said.

"Thank you sir." I said and I lowered my head because of shame.

"If you have a problem, I'll be right here and I'll listen to you. Don't be afraid and believe what others say. Don't let people step on you because of the current situation. Come to me and I'll help you, okay?" He said and I nodded. He smiled at me and suddenly my heart melted because of his good looks. You can't really tell he's 30 years old because he looks like he's only 26-27 years old. Lucky. After that, his watch suddenly alarmed.

"Oh shoot, I forgot that I have something to attend to in the faculty. You go to the classroom first and I'll follow." He said goodbye and then he left.

I went back to class and immediately felt the eyes of my other classmates. They started whispering again and looked at me strangely. I just lowered my head and returned to my place where I saw Layla who only smiled at me because they knew how difficult my situation was. Paul was obviously irritated because of the words of our classmates. Please, even if it's just the two of them, I hope they are by my side and don't get hurt.

"I can hear your whispers, if you have a problem with Kai, don't pay attention to him instead of whispering to each other like bees! You are no longer pitied, if there is a problem with the three who committed suicide, Kai is out of it, he doesn't do anything! You don't know anything, so shut up! I'll hear from you one more time and I'll report you all!" Paul shouted and I was surprised by what he said. I want to cry and hug them and thank them but not now.

"You guys are f*cking useless." Layla groan.

All of our classmates were silent and afraid of what Paul said and threatened. Paul and Layla's names are really famous and well known because they are our best athletes here on campus. They are scary sometimes especially when they are angry and I understand that. At first it was difficult to get along with them because they were known to be lovers but others were just afraid to approach them because they thought they would be rude and mean but they are very good people and friends. Even though I was gay, they accepted me and said that my personality was not an issue. So they are very important to me.

"As for you, don't let them treat you like that. Speak up and fight. Prove that you're not doing anything that you won't let the students here gossip about you." Paul told me annoyed.

"Paul is right, hon. You're letting them hurt your feelings because they know you're not a fighter. They won't follow if they haven't been reprimanded, tsk they really don't have a brain." Layra said flatly.

"I'm sorry and you sympathize with my problem. I just don't want to make it bigger and I don't want to get to the point where I'm kicked out of school. What about my future? My mom? My sister? Besides, you know I'm a scholar here and I don't want to lose that ." I said and they sigh.

"Kai sweetie, we love you and you're our friend. We can't let them treat you like this and you just let them go. It's not your fault what happened to the three. Remember that." Paul said and put his earphones in his ears.

Layla smiled at me and continued reading the book. I held my breath and Mr. Felix came with a smile on his face. Somehow my anger was reduced because of his smile.
