Keith locked his apartment door with haste when he arrived and sat on the ground, clutching Darryl's jacket.
"What have you done? You fvcking i***t!" Keith muttered and pulled his hair out of frustration. Darryl's face flashed on his mind, and he remembered the soft lips that kissed him. Slowly, he touched his lips and closed his eyes.
"God damn it. I must be going crazy for making out with a fvcking vampire. I need a fvcking drink," he said and hurriedly went to the kitchen.
Darryl, on the other hand, was still in the alleyway, waiting for Terrence - his friend to arrive and with the boys, he was with on the Horizon. When they came, Terrence immediately went to Darryl.
"You alright? You took off after hearing Janus' whereabouts. We were worried," Terrence asked. Darryl nodded his head and looked at the dust on the ground, the result of killing Janus - the rogue vampire. "How did you kill him?" Terrence added. Darryl immediately thought of Keith. Without the mutt's help, he knows he'll sustain injuries and, worst, die, but his ego wouldn't let him join the fight earlier.
"I got help, and Janus was exhausted after killing his last victim and using his power. He's been careless after going mad. That's why we had a chance," Darryl replied.
"Where is he? The one who helped you," Terrence asked and looked around.
"He left," Darryl answered uninterestedly and walked away, clenching his hands. He could still feel Keith's soft lips on him. Keith's body was his type. His slim waist and smooth skin that Darryl would love to sink his fangs in, marking every inch of it. He imagined Keith kneeling in front of him, taking his shaft in his hot mouth. God, Darryl wanted to pound his hardness on Keith's ass, but he's a werewolf. It was against his own self-made rules.
"Fvck this," he whispered.
"Yo! Are you really okay?" Terrence asked and tapped his shoulders. Darryl breathed deeply, trying to calm himself and his hard-on, and looked at Terrence.
"Report back to the clan, Ter. I'm going home for tonight," Darryl said. He didn't wait for Terrence's reply and left the place. He arrived at his mansion after an hour. Darryl immediately went to the bathroom and turned the shower on, switching it to the coldest temperature. He cursed under his breath when the water cascaded in his body, calming his hard-on.
"What did you do to me?" he whispered.
The night passed by, and there was multiple news about the rogue vampire being killed by the Blackwaters clan. Keith opened his eyes and groaned. He couldn't sleep a wink. He kept tossing and turning around, trying to get a good sleep but nothing. All he could think of was Darryl Blackwaters and their hot making-out session last night, but the vampire was a no-no on his list. He stood up and yawned, facing the light seeping through his window. Keith stretched his body and made his way into the small kitchen he had, making his breakfast.
Keith then saw his favorite empty coffee bag and glared at it, "It's because of you," he said. He heaved out a sigh and sat on the chair.
"Fvcking crazy," he muttered. Minutes after, there was a knock on the door that interrupted him. Keith's heart thumped. What if it was Darryl? He immediately shook his head, shrugging the thought he had. Why would Darryl visit him in the first place?
"Come on, Keith! You're out of your mind," he whispered to himself and went to the door. When he opened it, Reinhart's face greeted him.
"Hi, babe!" he said and went inside, not waiting on Keith. "I brought you your favorite coffee and a breakfast," he said. Keith closed the door and smiled.
"Thanks, Rein. You're the best," Keith said and took the food and coffee. Reinhart flipped his imaginary long hair and grinned.
"I know, right?" he muttered, which made Keith laugh. "Wait…" Reinhart added. Keith gulped. He knew Reinhart could quickly understand what was going on. He was super attentive to every detail, which made him nervous, and he couldn't tell him what had happened yesterday. He doesn't want Reinhart to know what he did with Darryl. The good thing was that he had already removed Darryl's scent yesterday night and hid his jacket in his closet.
"What?" Keith asked and sipped his coffee.
"Did you know the rogue vampire was in the vicinity last night? Gosh! I was so worried about you, but good thing the Blackwaters clan killed him," he said.
"Really? Good on those bloodsuckers then, but I didn't hear anything. You know I get immersed when I am painting my piece." Keith swiftly lied and sipped on the cupped again.
"Yeah yeah, I know. Gods, this world's not really safe," Reinhart said. "By the way, you look like s**t. Don't stay up too late. It'll ruin your skin," he added. Keith let out an awkward laugh and scratched the back of his head, but the fact was, it wasn't the painting that made him stay up till the morning, but a vampire.
"Thanks, Rein," Keith replied and finished the food Reinhart gave.
"Let's hang out later before going to work, okay? I'll just sleep first. My body's aching, and I'm fvcking tired," Reinhart said and yawned.
"Was it great s*x?" Keith asked and chuckled. Reinhart squealed like a teenager and sighed in delight.
"Damn right, it was!" Reinhart said. "God, he's perfect, and we matched. He said he wanted to make us work," he added.
"And?" Keith asked as he crossed his arms.
"You know, babe, I'm scared, but I see that he's a good guy," Reinhart confessed. Keith walked to him and hugged him sideways.
"I'll always be here, Rein, to support you like what you did to me," Keith said. Reinhart smiled.
"Awe, you cute little thing. Thanks, babe! Anyway, I don't want to be emotional. So, let's have fun later," Reinhart said and bid his goodbye. Keith walked him to the door and waited for him to disappear before returning.
Keith cleaned the mess from the kitchen and went to his room. He walked to where the closet was and opened it, pulling Darryl's jacket. Keith closed his eyes as the smell of Darryl's jacket lingered.
"Fvcking fvck. I'm screwed," he whispered as he opened his eyes.
