Pam hears Jonah, Bobo, Sandy, and Ricky Malonni enter the Tudor. They trundle inside like drummer boys or hoodlums. She c***s her head to the left and sees the men through the dining room. Jonah leads the pack. Each carries a bag of sorts from their morning of shopping. They remove their winter coats and drop them on Bill’s chair; a piece of furniture that he rarely, if ever, uses. Pam goes back to her crossword book. It’s almost noontime and she’s retired her coffee extravaganza and upgraded to a glass tumbler of white wine. Willa cleans up pots and pans at the sink, having completed a baking marathon. Pam c***s a second view of her family, and Ricky Malonni.
