Chapter 62: The Hell of the Trench.

"Aaah, the feeling of suffocating pressure..."
I observe the surrounding for some potential quest trigger. There's very little amount of NPC in the trench. So, the only thing I can do is use my Night Vision and get my Sea Serpent out...
"It's time to search for some batshit broken skill for the next potential event!"
I immediately told my Sea Serpent to go fast toward the north. The sea serpent brought me so fast that I feel like I'm missing so much stuff. I know that I didn't, but it just feels like it... So to stop that feeling. I decided to slowed down the speed.
I looked around and give a lot of attention to the surroundings... And that's when I notices something that shouldn't be here.
It's some sort of moving sand. More like a quick sand. It's going around in circle and it's moving toward the center... It's definitely not a quick sand because this is not the type of place where Quick Sand would be in.
So, I just immediately think that this is something that might trigger an event or quest. I don't know what thing it triggers. But I'm very excited to find out...
I get off of my sea serpent and swim straight toward the moving sand... And to my surprise... When I went to touch that sand... A white flash blinds my entire vision... But my instinct isn't screaming danger. I look at the map. But the map, is the thing that sets of a red flag...
It's error. I didn't see anything other than the word error... But, do I care? NOPE!
I waited for ten seconds and that's when the map started to load in. And that's when the flash stopped blinding my eyes and reveals something that is... Mesmerizing.
It was an underground flooded cave. Filled with colorful crystal that lights up the place. It was a smooth cave and the passage is pretty big. I started to take a swim around with my daggers out... Of course, I'm on full defense. I don't know where I am after all...
I know for a fact that this is not the fifth floor. Because, there's no update that unlocks the fifth floor...
And as I'm wondering where I am. Something lunges from the wall of the cave. It was long and black in color. I immediately pulled myself back and then swing my dagger straight toward the long thing.
I cut it clean in half and green blood started to pollute the water that I'm in. I immediately realize that it was not a normal blood and I should get away from it...
"God Speed!"
I immediately swim in an incredible speed. Only to hit something invisible...
"Ouch!"
In front of me, is a massive open space that leads toward something on the top. I see some sort of surface on the top of this passage.
But there's an invisible barrier that doesn't let me to reach that place... Meaning...
"Alright. This is the passage toward the fifth floor huh..."
That's the only thing I can think of and that's the only thing I will believe in. I decided to use God Speed once again to swim back toward the start... Only to realize...
"Where is the exit?"
It takes me an instant to realize that... There's no exit out of this place... I have been trapped in this spot.
"Oh... That's what's going on... I guess I just need to log off then..."
With no way out, the only way out I see is just to get off the game... And that's exactly what I did.
Of course I'm quite disappointed at the fact that there's no out of that place. But at the same time... I know that the developer make that on purpose... I can imagine they're in their lair just laughing at my action. But quickly get disappointed as I figured out what's going on...
That is the passage to the next map. And since I'm stuck in that passage, I'm guaranteed the first spot in the race to get the exclusive rewards of the next map.
I get off of the game and lay down on my bed... With nothing that can be done... I take my phone out and started surfing the website of the Eclipse Online Community to find something that might take my attention....
Meanwhile... In the HQ of the Eclipse Online... The developers are looking at something that they thought is Abnormal.
"Haaaah... Sir. Player OneSec has entered the gateway to the Fifth Floor and is currently stuck in that area."
One of the developers that are observing the situation in the game... Said that to the higher up that's managing this observation. After giving him a piece of his mind, he waits for the higher up to give him a response.
The director responded with a grin at first.
"Let him be. That's a part of the fun in eclipse. He realize that he is in a place that he shouldn't be in. But it is not his fault. He completely get to that spot when he's trying to have fun exploring the world. So, let him be him. He is having his fun so he should be left alone."
"But sir. With all due respect... He is breaking the game even when the game has yet to be updated sir. He is too powerful if he is left to his own devices!"
"Then what? You want to nerf him?"
The director realize the moment the topic shifted. This topic is the topic that the developers want to tackle on. It starts with nerfing OneSec.
"I believe that is what the team wanted sir."
"Hmph... You fools had no idea about any of this matter do you? Alright then. OneSec may be too strong. But whose fault is that? You guys told us that your settings is the most balanced setting. Yet, he managed to do all of this batshit crazy stuff... Whose fault is that? Is it his fault?"
"W-Well sir... I think it is..."
"Alright you, get out of this room right now. You are fired from this project. Right now! All of you in this room too! You guys failed to deliver on what you believe in."
Without a single shred of hesitation, the director screams and just fired every single person that is working on this project.
Not a single person expect the director to be serious. So they just chuckled nervously. But the director on the other hand...
"Bring in the new team of the project. These lots are a bunch of failures."
Tons of security guards pour in and everyone started throwing tantrum. But none of the security guard falters. They bring all of them out and a brand new set of developers pours in...
"Now then. You guys are the one in charge of this project now."
"Yes sir!"
With that... The company just changed the future for the sake of keeping one player happy...
"Well, we're not going to stupidly nerfs someone because of their extraordinary ability... We ought to reward such player. Not push them down..."
The situation has been defused. Just the next day... A new patch was implemented...
