His Kidnapped Mate

Chapter 12

This day was turning out to be picture perfect, I think to myself, my eyes closed, soaking up the sun. I can feel my mate’s gaze on me, his hand firmly intertwined with mine, as we sit side by side on the blanket. I lost track of time as we basked in the sun and chatted about anything and everything.

“We should head back; I promised you a tour of the packhouse” he says with a wink

“5 more minutes?” I ask. I don’t think I could ever get enough of being outdoors after so long, especially in this beautiful meadow with its tall grass and wildflowers growing everywhere, with their pops of yellows and purples. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Kyle chuckles. “5 more minutes but then we head back. Blaze is way too excited about you mounting him, his words not mine” he says with another laugh. My cheeks redden as thoughts of me mounting Kyle’s perfect body, in a more X-rated way, start popping in my head.

This time, I wasn’t scared one bit as I rode Blaze back to the packhouse.

Kyle:

I was getting nervous as we approached the packhouse. I really hope she agrees to share my bedroom.

Are the rooms ready? I link Laura

Almost. Putting the last finishing touches. Can you give us 20 more minutes She answers

“Was your packhouse growing up similar to this one?” I ask Ava as I interlace my fingers through hers and lead her in through the main front doors.

“Size wise yes, by style wise no. Ours looks more like a French castle, with its white walls and arched windows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.”

“The Atlantic Ocean? Do you mean the St-Laurence River? I don’t believe I’ve heard of any packs in this Province with a view of the Ocean, unless you count the one up near Chandler. But that’s like what, a 10 hour drive from here?”

“My pack isn’t from around here. They moved me around between different hunter labs. Guess that’s how I made my way all the way over here. Our pack is hidden in the Canso Wilderness area, but the packhouse is placed by the beach, overlooking the Atlantic”

“I’d love to see it someday” I’m really intrigued to see where my mate grew up and I was happy she was starting to open up to me. I’d have to google later where Canso was. I’ve never heard of it before.

I took my time showing Ava the rec room, the kitchen, the library, the home theater, and the lounge area. By the time the tour was done, I figured my place would be ready. The butterflies were getting agitated in my stomach again. I really hope I’ll get to call it our place soon.

“My place is on the top floor, along with the Alpha and Gamma suites. Second floor is the warrior’s rooms and 3rd floor is for the Omega’s who work around the packhouse.” I say to Ava as I lead her upstairs.

By the time we were on the third-floor landing Ava was out of breath and needing a break.

“Just give me 2 seconds. My cardio isn’t what it used to be” She gasps out, sitting on the first step, trying to catch her breath.

“I’m so stupid. What was I thinking? You just got out of the hospital. I’m so sorry. We should’ve used the elevator. Let me make it up to you. I’ll carry you the rest of the way.” I say as I pace the landing area

“Relax, I’m not dying. See my breath is almost back to normal. I’ll be good to go in a minute.”

Not wanting her to over exert herself, I go ahead and pick her up bridal style and make my way up the last flight of stairs with her giggling in my ear.

“You know you didn’t have to do that right?” she says with a smile when I finally let her down on the top floor.

“Get used to it baby” I tell her with a smirk and a wink making her giggle again.

“To the left is Jackson and Marie’s place. To the right is Jeff and Laura’s place, and mine is the door at the end of the hall. Hope you like it” I say as I lead her down the hall

“Ladies first” I say as I open the door for her.

I must say the ladies did a great job with my place. They added some throw pillows and some art on the walls to make the living room a little less masculine. A vase of flowers adorned the kitchen table, adding a bit of color to the place. I show Ava the guest bedroom first before heading over to the master bedroom.

“This is not what I was expecting your room to look like” she says a little confused.

“Why do you have two beds in here?” She asks

The girls had done as I had asked and there were two double beds in the room, one with a dark navy comforter clearly met for me and the other with a white comforter and lilac pillows on it, clearly met for her. Yet another vase of flowers was set on the bedside table on her side of the room.

I scratch at my head. “Well, I was kind of hoping you would agree to come live with me but I wasn’t sure you would be ready to share a bed. I’ve been getting used to falling asleep with your scent in the air. I understand if you’re not ready to share a room. You can use the guest bedroom I showed you earlier if you prefer. I had the girls make sure it was ready for you. If you aren’t comfortable living in my appartment, I’m sure Marie could hook you up with a room on the third floor.” I blabber out.

“You really went through all that trouble for me?”

“I’d do anything for you baby girl. So... will you move in with me?”

I breathe a sigh of relief when she smiles up at me.

“I’d love to.”

Overwhelmed with happiness, I lift Ava into my arms and spin her in a circle, before kissing her, hard. Not wanting to push her too far, I end the kiss after a short moment and put Ava back down on her feet.

“We should probably ask Dr. Cassandra if she gives me the green light to move in with you though."

“Dr. Cassandra already approved your release from the hospital as long as you make weekly visits with her. I signed the discharge paperwork earlier.” I say with a grin, pleased with myself.

"Marie and Laura offered to do some shopping for you. You should find all you need in here” I say as I open the door for the walk-in closet.

“There are also toiletries in the attached bathroom through that door over there. If you are missing anything, let me know and we can go shopping.” I say as I point to the bathroom.

“Wow! Thank you, Kyle. You really didn’t have to do all this for me.” She says, still in awe, looking around the walk-in closet

“You should thank Laura and Marie. I can’t take much credit for this. All I did was lend them my credit card.”

She walks up to me, bringing her arms around my neck, leaning in to peck my lips.

“It was really sweet of you to ask them to do this for me. I'll make sure to thank them when I see them.”

“As I said, anything for you baby " I say, leaning back down to peck her lips once more.

"Let me show you the bathroom. I'm sure you will love the soaker tub"

Ava's eyes sparkle with joy when I mention the bathtub. As we enter the bathroom her eyes go big.

"This bathroom is huge" She says in awe as she looks at the walk-in shower with the waterfall shower head and body jets along one wall. She then seems to absorb the sight of the soaker tub big enough for two.

"That bath is the size of a small pool!" she says, her eyes as big as saucers making me chuckle.

"Nothing better after an intense workout than a bath to relax sore muscles. And if you haven't noticed yet, nothing about me is small" I say as I wink at her, making her blush.

Just then a mindlink comes through

So??? What did she say??? Did she like her bed and her clothes? Will she be staying with you??? Laura's voice comes through soon followed by Marie's

I know Laura is linking you about Ava. I want to know too!!!

I answer both of them at once

You did a great job girls. Thank you. And to answer your question, she said yes!

You better not hog her and keep her hidden in that apartment for yourself though. Laura teases me. I know she is just as happy as I am that Ava will be living here from now on.

Oh, and I filled the bathroom pantry with bath bombs, bath salts and bubble bath. I'm sure Ava will want to try out that bath.

I promise to share her with you. Thanks for thinking of everything. Now let me enjoy this time with my mate. You can talk to her at breakfast tomorrow. I answer back before closing the link and settling my attention back onto Ava.

"So, what would you like to do next? I could cook us up a little supper or you could try out that bathtub that been calling your name"

"Really? I could try it out right now?"

"Sure thing. Laura even bought you a bunch of products you can put in it." I go ahead and start the bath before going to the pantry and taking out a towel and washcloth for her, as well as showing her the different options of bath products Laura had picked out for her.

"Should I join you in the tub?" I tease her. Ava's eyes go big

"Relax, I was just joking. I know we aren't there yet. Take your time in the bath. If you need anything, just holler. I'll be catching up on some work stuff." I say as I give her a peck on the forehead and head out of the bathroom.
