After thirty minutes, Vanessa returned and told Ivanka and the rest that it was time for the rounds. They were given lab coats, and other interns joined in as well. Vanessa took them to where Alaric was already waiting.
They went ward by ward, checking on the patients. It took Ivanka a lot to control her emotions being so close to Alaric. Seeing how powerful and respected he was made her heart flutter and filled her with nothing but deep regrets. She wasn't sure how to forgive her mother for doing this to her.
