"Oh sweet, my favorite!" Markel said, and I looked up, seeing the macaroni and cheese, hamburger steak with great smelling gravy, green beans and corn, a couple of different desserts, and in the far corner of the buffet, I could barely make out what looked to be a kind of soup. It was brown with beans sticking out of the top.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing at the brown sludge.
"That's chili, you've never had it?" Raven asked, and I shook my head.
"Oh man, you're missing out, Princess! Chef Levi makes the best chili around!" Markel said, and I hesitantly grabbed a bowl along with some of the other foods in the buffet. I opted for a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles for dessert.
'A change from chocolate cake?' Mari joked, and it was my turn to laugh back sarcastical
