I couldn’t believe that Violet would continue working for me. I couldn’t explain how happy I was when Dave told me about her decision. I knew that it was a professional decision, but it would give me time to be there, even if it was for some days. I had so many things to explain to her. I knew that she hated me to her core, but she needed to know the full story before she could make any decisions about our relationship.
I couldn’t sleep a wink the whole night as I was both anxious and excited about the next day. In the past five years, I had imagined so many circumstances in which we two met again, but I never imagined that we would meet again like this.
