Chapter 4It’s far from the first interrogation room Dustin has been in, but it doesn’t mean that he likes them. They are so soulless, without character—Dustin doesn’t like that. He’s not sure how long he’s been sitting at the small desk when the door opens again. Two people walk in—a woman, and Ronan, the private detective from the crime scene. “You’re not a cop,” Dustin points out. “Neither are you, but that doesn’t stop you from showing up at crime scenes. But I’m working with the police as a consultant,” Ronan tells him, taking a seat. The woman takes the other seat. “I’m Detective Hicks.
