"What do you mean you don't want to work with Stein anymore?" She suddenly flared up, standing to her feet.
"I tried multiple times and got rejected, it was just fair that I moved on." I backed myself up, standing to my feet as well. It was still difficult to depict what exactly was going on.
"But now that I got you a job there…" she began but I interrupted.
"Indan, I don't understand what you mean by you got me a job there. I'm used to the library and I'm honestly glad for where I am." I placed both hands on her shoulders, "but working with Stein would deprive me of so many other things, including spending time with the children." I got her to sit back down.
"They're still too young to be left on their own, this is that stage of their lives they need us the most." I shook my head.
