CATHY "What is it, mum?"I asked with a frustrated look as my mum kept tapping my shoulder, calling my name like there was something else to put. Why does she have to disturb me this much? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it. "Wake up, Cathy. Stop being a lazy ass. You're going to your new school today," she said, and I whined in pain as she dragged my left ear fiercely. "Mum," I yelped out in pain as I jerked up from the bed with a cold look on my face. "Good morning mum," I muttered with a sigh as I rubbed my palm on my eyes. "Good morning dear. How was your night?" she asked. "Fine," I mumbled, even though I knew my night wasn't okay. I was thinking and wondering about my new school, how everything is going to be. I don't know how my day is going to be in my new school. Would I get maltreated like in my former school for being nerdy? This has been the question that I've been asking myself for a while but I couldn't get an answer to it. I hope my new school is different. I thought to myself, even though I found it strange. "Okay… I'll leave you to get dressed," she said, and I reluctantly nodded my head gently. I pulled off my clothes and dropped them on the floor. I walked into the bathroom as I untied my long dark hair. After a few minutes of bathing, I walked out of the bathroom with water dripping from my body. I pulled the white towel away from my body and dried my body with it. I shook my head with a sigh as I stared at my pair of new school uniforms. How could she get the school uniform so fast? I'm very sure she'd everything planned already. I wonder why she could do such a thing. I picked up the comb from the dressing table and brushed my long hair. I packed my hair backward in a ponytail style, the same way I used to tie my hair like a nerd, which I really am. After putting on the uniform, I grabbed the big eyeglasses from the table and put them on. I grabbed the new back bag that my mother had already prepared for me. I shook my head with a sigh. "Mum…" I called as I walked out of the room with a cold look on my face. "Where are you, mum?" I asked as I stood in the guest room. "I'm so sorry… Please don't be annoyed at me. I'm sorry for being late," she said, and I nodded my head gently. "Okay… I think we should get going," I said, and she nodded her head gently. I watched as my mother walked out of the compound, while I followed her from behind while playing with my fingers. "Get in," she said, seeing how reluctant I was as we stood in front of the black Lexus car in the parking lot. "Okay ma'am," I muttered with a sigh as I walked into the car. "Here we are," she said as we parked in front of a school compound. We both walked out of the car as the driver opened the car. I looked up as I stared at the magnificent and gigantic building standing in front of me. A gasp escaped from my lips as I stared at the beautiful surroundings of the school. I arched my brows as I stared at the description banner of the school, the Golden Moon school. As much as I love the surroundings of the school, I can't ignore the fact that the name of the school sounds so weird, and I think there's more to it. I think there's more mystery to unravel in this school, and I think I'm the only one who can do something about it. I think I've to be fast and snappy with it. "It seems you have school already?" she asked, and I snapped out of my thoughts. "Yes…" I muttered with a sigh as I nodded my head gently, even though I knew it was all a lie. The smell of this school suddenly seemed weird to me. "We should go to the principal's office so that you can sign some files," she said. "What files?" I asked, and she scoffed out loudly. "It's a file that would get you registered as a student in this prestigious school. Your father and I have signed the necessary documents," she said, and I stared at her with a surprised look on my face. "What! What do you mean? You've signed it already," I asked with a cold look. Why do I think there's something that they are hiding? "Yes, and it's for your own good," she said, and I didn't bother to talk about her, instead I nodded my head gently. "Can we get going?" I asked, and she nodded her head affirmatively. "Of course." Within a few minutes, we were in the principal's office, seated in front of the old man with bald hair and a big pot belly. He looks so chubby and big. "Please sign this," he said as he stretched the file at me. I collected the file from him with the pen and signed at the required space for the signature. "This is it," I said as I returned the already signed documents to him. He collected it with a bright smile on his face. "Nice handwriting," he muttered. "Nothing else?" my mother asked, and he nodded his head gently with a sigh. "No, there's nothing else to it. But I would like to advise you to be conscious of what you did, and always make sure to mind your business about anything that doesn't have to do with you," he said. "Don't overstep your boundaries," he said. I nodded my head gently even though I found his statement strange. "Okay, sir. No problem. I promise to keep my mouth shut and not overstep my boundaries…" I said, even though I knew it was a lie. I think there's more to this school, and I have to figure it out.
