The Grey Witch and her Dragon King

Chapter 2

*Present*

(Alexis)

“Aunty Alex, can I have a snack?” Yamilet asks.

“Sure, baby lets go to the kitchen” I said reaching for her little hand. We walk into the kitchen and I see Kellan grabbing a water. Yamilet lets go of my hand and runs to her daddy. Suddenly, everything turns white, and I see both my brothers smiling while some woman who I couldn’t see. They seem to be happy, and I can see Yamilet is looking at this woman with so much love.

“Alex?” I hear Kellan call. Everything comes back and I find Kellan holding on to me.

“Are you okay?” he asks. I could see the concern in his eyes.

“I’m okay” I beamed remembering what I saw. I don’t know if the moon goddess was going to bless my brothers with a second chance mate but seeing them how happy they were made me happy.

“Okay. Are you staying over tonight?” Kellan asks.

“No, I just came for a while. Mom left to go to see Jazmine and see if she could help with anything” I informed him.

“Okay, if you need anything before I go let me know” he says.

“Where are you going?” I asked him.

“Bound” he replied before walking out the back door but not before giving Yamilet a kiss. Bound is a club he has been going every weekend. When I asked him why he was going there his answer was ‘I have to be there. I don’t know why but something inside me is telling me that I have to go.’

Once Yamilet and I have a snack we head to the rec room and watch a Cinderella. Have way through the movie I get a text. I smile when I see Aiden’s name pop up.

Aiden: Hey babe

Me: Hey. How is everything going?

Aiden: Everything is good. I just finished. What time will you be home?

Me: Let me tell Killian I’m going home, and I’ll be there.

Aiden: Sounds good. See you soon. I love you.

Me: I love you too.

I get up and go to Killian’s office. I know on the door and wait for him. I was surprised when he opened the door instead of telling me to come in.

“Hey sis” he smiles. He’s looking better every day.

“Hey. I’m going to head home now. Yamilet is in the rec room watching Cinderella” he chuckles when he hears the name of the movie. Last week Yamilet made her daddies watch Cinderella seven times in a row.

“Okay, thank you for coming by and spending time with her” he smiles sadly.

“It’s my pleasure. I love spending time with her. If you need me for anything call me” I tell him.

“Stop worrying sis. I’m fine, but if I need anything I’ll give you a call” he kisses the top of my head. I hug him and head back to the rec room. I find Yamilet fast asleep on the sofa. I kiss her head just as Killian enters the room. I straighten up but I guess I did it too fast because I got dizzy. I felt Killian grab my arm to steady me.

“Are you okay?” he asks.

“I’m fine I guess I stood to fast” I lied. I already knew what was wrong with me. Ever since we were little my brothers have been very protective over me since I’m a full witch which means I’m like a human but with powers.

He touches my forehead and hums “you’re a little warm. Go see the pack doctor before you leave. I want to make sure you’re okay.” Last time I got sick with a fever I was in the hospital for a week and my brothers were by my side the whole time.

“Okay, I’ll go if it makes you feel better but I’m sure is nothing. After all it is a warm outside” I assured him. He nods and give my forehead another kiss and I head to the pack doctor.

“Hey Alexis, how are you?” Mitchel Asks as soon as I walk in.

“Hey Mitchel, I’m good. How is the family?” I ask.

“Everyone is good. So, what can I do for you?” he asks. I explained to him what happened just a few minutes ago and that only came to put Killian’s mind at ease.

“Okay, let me take some test to make sure everything is good” he says. After he takes some blood he heads out. I send Aiden a quick text.

Me: I’ll be home soon baby.

About thirty minutes later Doctor Mitchel comes back. He closes the door and takes a seat.

“I ran some tests, and everything came back. Alexis, you’re pregnant” he says. I feel like everything just stopped before my heart started pounding hard in my chest. I already knew I was pregnant but hearing the confirmation for Doctor Mitchel made it much more real. See, Aiden and I always used protection because that's what I wanted. I wasn't ready to have kids yet, but six months ago we stopped using condoms because I felt like I was ready now to have kids. 

“H-how far? “I ask in a whisper.

“You’re eight and a half weeks” he replies. My hand automatically go to the slight bump on stomach. Suddenly a smile makes its way to my face. Mitchel hands me the results along with some prenatal vitamins. I thank him placing the results and vitamins in my purse before I open a portal and head home.

“Hey babe” Aiden ingulfs me in a hug as soon as I step through the portal.

“Hi” I return the hug.

“How are your brothers and the little princess?” he asks. He loves spending time with Yamilet just like Yamilet likes spending time with her uncle.

“My brothers are good. I have a feeling that their lives is about to change, and Yamilet is good. When I left she was fast asleep” I admitted leaving out the part that I’m pregnant. I wanted to find the perfect time to tell him. I want the news of our child to be special one since it’s our first child. We walk inside and he tells me about what he did today at the office. I reach for his hand, but he takes it away. I felt hurt but I quickly masked it. This has been happening for the past three months. Could it be that I’m doing something wrong? I shake my head getting the thoughts out of my head. He has been terribly busy lately. Maybe it’s just that. Right? I snap out of my thoughts when I hear him speak again.

“Oh, my parents, brother and sister will be here this weekend. My sister has some special news to tell everyone. My parents trued to find out what it is but Cassie wouldn’t budge” he said. His family get together once or twice a every six months and the fact that they are coming I think it will be the best time to tell him when his family is with him and they can celebrate the happy new with him. Then I realize today is Thursday.

“Did you have dinner yet?” Aiden asks snapping me out of my thoughts again.

“Yes, I already had dinner at the pack house” I told him. He kissed my head just as I tried to stifle a yawn. Aiden chuckles “come let’s get you to take a bath and then we can go to bed.” We head upstairs to our room and he runs me a bath. I go in the bathroom and undress just as his phone rings. He dries his hands and looks at his phone.

“Umm… It’s the office babe” he says.

“Go ahead I’ll finish this” I smiled. Once everything is ready I get in the tub. I needed to find a way to tell Aiden we’re having a baby. We never spoke about having kids, but I wonder how he will take it. I mean I’m twenty- six years old. I want to have kids and he’s twenty-eight. I sigh closing my eyes.

‘Maybe I’ll bake his favorite strawberry cake with chocolate frosting and write it on the cake’ I thought to myself. It didn’t sound like a bad idea. I began to relax and soon I was thinking how my family would react to the news. Yamilet will have a little cousin. Mom and dad would have another grandchild to spoil. With a huge smile on my face I got out of the bathtub when the water began to get cold. I dried myself and put on one of Aiden’s t-shirts and a lace thong before crawling into bed. Aiden was not back yet, I assumed he was going to be a while, so I decided to go to bed.
