Alex dropped me off at home, leaving me only the evening left to get through before I could finally see Onyx. I quickly changed and met Joey at work, actually excited for once to see the diner busy. For the first time ever, I’d decided the busier the better. Busy meant this night would pass by quickly and I could get home to Onyx. Joey filled me in on everything I’d missed at karaoke; which wasn’t much. Her and Kyle sang a few more songs, and it seemed like Matt had hit it off with that girl. Joey had even befriended a few other lacrosse players, all of which then became viable options for a double date with me.
