CHAPTER 01

     I opened my eyes and felt groggy. My head hurts so much. It's my first time feeling this kind--

    "Hey, Sleeping Beauty, hangover?" I shifted my sight in the left and I saw Krish holding a mug while biting a bread. She's only wearing her white tank top and short shorts. 

    "I never thought that this feels like shit." I can't stop myself cursing. It feels like someone stomping my head. I will never drink alcohol again.

    "Well, it's your first time drinking. But soon, you will get used to it." She said. 

    "Nah, I will never drink alcohol again." I massaged my temples. My head still hurts.

    "The classes will start tomorrow and today we will have a meeting with our classes. I guess we have two same classes right?" 

    "Yes, and with that boy too." I rolled my eyes remembering what happened last night.

    "Hell yeah! It's time to party!" 

    Krish pulled me and we went outside the auditorium. We are welcomed by many performers. Even some famous rock bands are here! 

    "I love this!" Krish shouted while I'm just laughing at her because of her excitement. I saw many students going to some mini bar stalls. They have a lot of refreshments. Damn, Macrom knows to party.

    "Hey, let's try some of their alcohol, Alli!"

    "I never drank alcohol in my entire life, Krish. Well, my parents said hangover sucks."

    "Oh no, don't be a killjoy. Just try some, please???" I sighed with her pleading reaction. 

    "Just once, Krish. Once"

    Until time passes by, I realize that Krish keeps giving cups of beers. Someone went beside me and smiled at me. I only ignored him since I don't know him at all. 

    "Hi, I'm Kingston Lim. And you are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen tonight." He coughs and smiled at me.

    "Oh yeah? Thanks." I said and continue drinking my beer. Then I heard him chuckled which annoyed me.

    "What's funny?"

    "Nah, I'm just impressed. Well, see you again, Ms. Serdio." He waves at me goodbye and he vanished.

    And after that, I got wasted and dance my butt off in the middle of the dance floor which makes me embarrassed right now. Oh god, what should I do? It's my first time doing that.

    "Girl, just chill. They don't mind if you dance like you didn't care last night. It's normal for parties. Come one. Cheer up."

    "It's just...It's embarrassing, Krish." She rolled her eyes and cross her arms.

    "I did more embarrassing things, Alli. I almost gave an unknown man a blow--

    "Okay, Krish stop." I raised my hands while she laughs loud. Good thing that every dorm here is soundproof. I stood up to wash my face. 

    "What time is it, Krish?"

    "Uh, noon." 

    "What the f**k?"

    "Just kidding, it's 2" She laughed.

    "WHAT KRISH ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" She bit her lips stopping herself to laugh. I looked at her getting annoyed with what she's been doing. I have no choice but to looks at my phone. I sigh in relief. It's still 9 in the morning. We have a schedule at noon which she said earlier, it's a meeting between freshmen. We already did a party last night but I guess Macrom wants their students to be friends. Except, for that annoying Kingstone. Kingstone? Yeah, I guess that's his name.

    I went to the shower leaving Krish who is still laughing because of my reactions. I always have a short temper when it comes to people annoying me. But since Krish is my friend. She does have a pass for me. 

    After taking a shower, I saw Krish typing something on her laptop. She saw me and she wave at me to come to her.

    "What?" 

    "There's a party!"

    "What? Another party again?" I snorted. 

    "Well, it's special since after the so-called meeting. The daughter of the mayor will be having a party. She is a big shot, Alli. We need to socialize you know." Ugh, parties. I just don't want to go again.

    "Can I not go?" PLEASE.

    "Nah, all of the freshmen need to go."

    "WHAT?!"

    The annoyance in my face is probably plastered. I hate parties now! Why is it we need to go there. Anyways, we are currently in the meeting right now. So the students including me are going to getting to know each other. The boring part again which we are introducing ourselves. We are only 50 here. Since Macrom is choosy when it comes to their students. I got lucky passing here huh.

       Minutes turn into hours, it's finally my time to introduce myself. I stand from my seat and I started introducing myself.

    "Hi, I'm Alliyah Serdio. I'm 18 and it's nice to meet you, everyone." Then I went back to my seat. 

    "Oh, you're the annoyed girl last night. Nice to see you again, Liyah." It's him again.

    "The violet-eyed girl!"

    "The one who dances amazing last night?" I ignored their comments and answered Kingstone.

    "And you are Kingstone, right? I can't remember your surname. And it's Alli by the way, not Liyah. So please don't say again." I said and fake smile at him.

    "Bro, your Kingstone now? LMAO," A tanned man said. I saw Kingstone's lips twitched. 

    "Shut up, Brad." He looked at me and said "It's K-I-N-G-S-T-O-N and I will still call you, Liyah. Whether you like it or not."

    I shrugged.

    "Sure, Kingstone."

    He wants to say something but somebody claps and she caught our attention. It's Freya Helmerts, the daughter of the mayor. 

    "Silence everyone since I have something important to announce. I'm going to have an event. Instead of having a party. We are going to race. And you will be having partners as you pick a number from this jar." She showed us a jar. I can call it a glamorous jar since it's kinda..pretty.

    "Further instructions will be announced later in the race. Some make a line and pick your number."

    One by one we picked our numbers which is a big surprise for me. I wish I never picked this number at all. 

    "Oh hey there, lucky number 13. I never expected you to be my partner." He even wiggled his eyebrows which annoys me so much.

    "Please I never wanted you to become my partner. Goodness, why does it have to be you?" 

    "Its destiny, Liyah. And this race, we are going to win this."

    "Okay, Mr. MVP. Since I love winning, I guess we are good at that side."

    "Great, see you later. My Liyah" He winks at me.

    I acted like I want to puke but he just laughed at me instead. Ugh, he is so annoying.
