CHAPTER TWO

1914 Words
She was resting comfortably in her bed with her favorite pillow when she became fully conscious of a moan coming from the neighboring apartment. She sat up on her bed and listened to what was going on beyond the wall that separated her room from the one she was facing. "Don't be anxious; your manhood will slip on mine," the woman said. "You must have a lot of c*m, I'm sure." A woman's voice was speaking. When Addison found out what she had overheard, she couldn't stop her face from turning a shade of pink. She guessed that it was possibly his wife. "I cannot believe it!" "Ohhhh!" Harold moaned, and the girl let out a scream. When she heard those sounds, she couldn't help but feel as though she was a part of what was happening. Her body seemed to be on fire. Harold was having a great time because his partner was actually whining about something. What she had heard was so convincing that she had no choice but to accept it. Even though she hasn't been in a romantic relationship or had any s****l encounters, she still can't help but wonder how a woman who has experienced both of those things would feel. She was naive and innocent. She has a very elevated view of the concept of "s*x," so even if she were to find a partner, it would be difficult for her to give up her virginity because she feels that consensual s*x should only take place between married partners. Virginity is the best gift you can give to your husband. During the time when her mother was still alive, that was her mother's firm belief, and now it is her belief also. The pain in her eyes the next morning was not due to the fact that she had written all night, but rather to the fact that she had spent the night listening to what her new neighbor was doing. She jumped out of bed and headed straight to the restroom as she finished her morning routine. She takes a shower before going out, and she enjoys tending to the plants every morning. When Harold's door unexpectedly opened, she turned on the water and began to water the plants. Her eyes widened as she saw Harold kiss the woman. This woman can defeat the challenge posed by the girl who coils herself around Harold like a snake. The woman's attire practically exposes the design of the cloth. That is horrible. What she witnessed made her feel sick to her guts. Their hungry stares are met. In response, Harold gave her a wacky smile, which prompted her to raise an eyebrow in his direction. "Pervert!" The woman was escorted by Harold as they went through the gate. "Good morning." Harold went up to talk to her. She murmured, "What's nice in the morning?" as she looked around. "Is there something wrong?" Am I upsetting you in any way? He queried. "You make me think of my grandmother." So, much to her dismay, she found herself really angry at him. "Are you making fun of me?" "Is that rude?" All kidding aside, I was wondering. He smiled and said, "Relax, my landlady." "The only thing I need you to understand is that my apartment is not a motel," she said. He laughed. "Motel?" "Your groans make me uncomfortable, and what you're doing irritates me!" "Are you listening?" Harold asked. As a response to what he had said, her entire face became flushed, and she gave a sarcastic grin. "I have no interest in that. Next time you engage in s****l activity, make an effort to tone down the growl in your voice. I would appreciate it if you could also tell your girlfriend! She groaned. "If you can't, just put your hands over your lips," she instructed and chastised him. "You're disrupting my peace of mind," she said. "She's not my girlfriend," he answered, causing her to stumble. She asked, rolling her eyes, "Are you not in a relationship?" Harold gave her a reassuring grin and responded, "That's normal, Addison." She believes that talking about it more will drive her completely nuts. Her innocent mind had been distorted by the situation. She took a few deep breaths before turning her attention back to the plant. "Have you ever been in a relationship?" Harold asked her a question that she didn't expect. She was mistaken in her assumption that he had left because all he did after that was stare at her. He asked her with a raised eyebrow. "I'm just curious," She responded, with a trembling voice, "From what I understand, that is a personal question." "Okay, I'm just worried." "For what reason?" She wanted to know. "It was for you." The next thing he said was, "From what I have gathered, you do not have any family." The slits in her eyes became much more prominent. The day before, she was easily won over by his charisma; now she has transformed into a vixen and wants to eat him. "And you wanted to know about the private aspects of my life?" "Does it really seem so bad?" "It was reasonable for me to worry about my landlady." "Can you please clarify what you mean by that?" "How do I know whether you're a bad person?" "I'm sure you're aware of the fact that I have a good reputation in this place." Everyone in my apartment complex knows me and has a favorable impression of me. "Did they know that you were insensitive?" He asked with a smirk on his lips. She almost smacked it out of irritation. I am joking, Addison. "All I desire is that we become friends." "A friendship that's more than just platonic?" Harold, spare me, please! "I am not at all like any of the other women you've dated in the past!" She accused him. She hadn't anticipated how upset she would be. Harold smirked at her as though he were insulting her. His cheeks were flushed with glee. He didn't make any clever replies. "You?" Harold pointed his finger at her. "I'm not interested in you," he chuckled. She was offended by his words. She tried to throw the hose at him before rushing into her apartment. She marched irritably towards it, desiring to strangle it. "Hey! I'm only joking. Harold followed her into her apartment. She is still furious. Harold made a joke about her. It's a real shame not to offend her. From her purse, she pulled out a penny and put it in his hand. "Find someone to speak with!" She yelled, "I'm not interested in you!" "I'm sorry!" he exclaimed, his expression immediately calming. "I didn't mean anything at all," he replied. It bothered her. Despite this, she was unable to help but have deep admiration for him. "All that I ask is for us to be close," he continued. "Nothing else matters to me." She scrutinized him from head to toe with her gaze. "Those looks of yours irritate me," Harold said to her. He said something that made her uncomfortable. "Embarrassed? You were the one who made fun of my personality. " "Yes, I believe you dislike me," Harold said. She did not respond and was even more surprised when he sat on the couch and placed his legs on the coffee table, acting like a king. She was unable to look at him because she felt he was observing her. "Are you about to leave?" She slowly inquired. "There's nothing for me to do at home." "And you want to make my apartment into a place where people hang out?" What do you think of the house I live in? A mall?" Her eyes expanded in curiosity. It did not look as though her presence bothered Harold in any way. "Aren't you bored living alone?" "No," she replied, "I am still used to being alone." She has been on her own ever since her mother passed away, and she has gotten used to being by herself. She nevertheless finds being alone to be a melancholy time and hides from the world. "To be alone is to be lonely." "To depart and be abandoned," he said seriously. An expression of seriousness formed on his face. "In the same vein as you," he remarked, "I want to go away from misery and troubles, but every time I don't talk to anybody, I go back to the life I left." She sat next to him on the lone sofa. She wanted to know more about him. "I've been by myself for a very long time, and it wasn't always like this." Harold gave her a smile. "I'm seeking peace of mind, but I think they held me accountable for the situation," he added. Harold gave off a fake grin. He was unable to reply to Harold's statement. Something seems to be wrong. "I'm happy to have met you," Harold said. "I have always held the belief that no man is an island, but by coming here and challenging yourself to overcome loneliness, you have disproved that statement." To be honest, she wasn't sure if she agreed with what he said. "It's simple to say, but every once in a while, things get rough." "Living alone is solitary," she answered. She settled into their conversation and began to open up. It felt good to talk, and she quickly forgot about the man who had been spitting in anger. "Nonetheless, you did it." "True, but do you realize how hollow I feel inside?" It's likely that you'll reach a point of failure and give up trying to change things. "If anything has changed recently in my life, it's that I get to talk to you and hang out with you." "So, you're not going to try to push me away, right?" Harold asks with a grin on his face. "May I join you for lunch?" This time, she gave him a grin instead of a frown. She warmed up to Harold right away and pretended that they had been friends for a very long time. Surprisingly, Harold even offered to help her cook lunch for them, which took her by surprise. "I'm OK. " It would be helpful if you could take a seat first." She spoke up. "You invited me to eat here," he pointed out. "I must assist you, of course." "Remember, you're just passing through!" "I'm not inviting you," she answered with a smile on her face. "I'm your neighbor, and sooner or later I'll become your friend," he continued with a grin, allowing her to catch a glimpse of him. After she's done cooking, Harold washes the dishes and utensils. She couldn't stop smiling. "I am sorry for what happened last night and for what you heard," he said. What she had heard the night before immediately came back to her memory. She blushed and couldn't look him in the eyes as a reaction to what he said. She responded with a nod. She didn't answer him, since she was speechless and kept on frying the chicken. Harold and Addison enjoyed a wonderful lunch together. It is fine to talk to him; he is an entertaining and interesting person to talk to. Harold appeared to enjoy his tickle right away. She's not sure if it's good to miss the man's company after such a short time together, but now that she's alone, she feels like something's missing.
