Chapter 38

1222 Words

Brandon The story was a pile of horse crap if Brandon heard one. However, Ayanne was strangely invested in Justin’s “rescuing” of Zuri from a vampire in the woods. First of all, hardly any vampires were so unrestrained anymore. Some did feed on live humans, but they didn’t so much go hunting unless they were feeding on animal blood. The other method was in blood donations, okay?  Second, Zuri contributed not a second of this made-up story. She studied the not-very-interesting grooves in the wood of the table.  Brandon had been concealing his wolf, Adriel, all this time, but… His eyes fixated on Justin’s long finger, draped over her shoulder while he talked about rescuing the “fainting woman in the forest.” He circled a spot on her chest, forcing her n****e to show through her shirt.
