No matter how much I tried to push thoughts of the little human out of our minds, she would always pop back up. I was even more agitated than I normally was. It was infuriating that she had become all that I could think about and Ares seemed to find my situation to be incredibly amusing.
“It is the only thing that will ease the discomfort. So stop fighting it and just go find her.” Ares growled while rolling his eyes at me.
We might have lucked out with the invitation to the New Luna Ceremony, so we had to make our time here count when it came to searching the pack house. We can't afford to waste time chasing after our human mate. I have told myself this many times throughout the night when Ares would do his best to encourage me to go to her.
