Lance with Alicia then walks back to the inn where Lance is staying. This time, Elmer is accompanying them as Alicia just managed to escape from the incident yesterday and the royalty doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her again. However, it was only until the inn, Elmer has other things that he needed to do now, which is training Clyde so he excused himself and arranged for his subordinate to guard the princess.
When they arrived at the inn, Lance immediately brings the princess to Milla’s room. They knocked on the door and Milla opened it not long after. “Lance, this is?”
“This is princess Alicia. She is someone I helped yesterday by chance.”
“A princess?”
Milla then tried to fix her appearance quickly to make herself more presentable. After that, she asked Lance and Alicia to enter her room.
“Milla, here. Take this.”
Lance then passed the mana technique book to Milla. Milla seemed to be confused at his action then asked. “What is this?”
“The book contains a mana technique for an elf.”
“Mana technique?”

The unexpected and deliberate question is straight to the point and it makes Alicia flustered when she heard that.
“N-no. I’m just curious because mister Lance managed to save me yesterday. Not to mention his humble heart, I wonder what kind of childhood did he go through.”

Sensing the mood turn for the worse because of her question, princess Alicia tried to fix her mistake.
“Anyway, you should check the mana technique book. If there’s something that you don’t understand, you can ask me and I will get someone to explain it to you. Speaking of which, mister Lance, don’t you want a mana technique too?”

Hearing that, princess Alicia blushed again as she remembers Lance’s performance from yesterday.
“Alright, I think I have achieved my purpose here to hand the mana technique book to Milla. Now, princess, I am free to accompany you. Where do you want to go?”
Alicia once again becomes flustered but she quickly regained her calm.
“Actually, there’s a place that I want to visit with you. However, I want to walk slowly rather than using the carriage.”
“That’s fine by me. I usually walk so I won’t be tired.”
Princess Alicia and Lance then walk out of the inn but as they are disappearing in the distance, Milla’s voice can be heard. “Why didn’t you ask me out too. Although I know that it was only an act, seeing the princess smitten look is still annoying. Do you like girls like that? Should I try to dress up too? Ah, I guess I should think of my revenge first before anything. Alright, let’s practice again. I will open my second mana channel and make you feel surprised.”
Meanwhile, as princess Alicia and Lance walking through the city, a lot of people greeted the princess. However, it wasn’t a gaze of reverent but more of respect and care. However, problems soon arrived not even after they arrived at the place that Alicia wanted to take Lance to. In the middle of the road, Alicia and Lance are stopped by a person on a horse. Lance looked at the identity of the person which seemed unusual.
The person stopped his white horse directly in front of Alicia and Lance and as there’s no one stopping his antics, Lance knows that this person might be someone important or close to Alicia.
“Good day princess Alicia, what are you doing here?”
“Prince Matthias, I’m now walking around with mister Lance.”
“Mister Lance?”
Matthias then used this time to scrutinize Lance. Not to mention when princess Alicia is calling Lance's name with affection behind it, Matthias immediately sends a hostile gaze towards Lance.
“Mister Lance is someone that saved me yesterday. Because of that, I am thinking of repaying him today by taking him for a good meal.”
“Oh, since that the case, should I go with you too? Speaking of which, I haven’t got the chance to have lunch. Not to mention mister Lance is someone who saved the precious life of my Alicia.”
“Who’s yours? I don’t belong to anyone. Please don’t misunderstand it mister Lance.”
Although they just meet for a while, Lance can see that Matthias is someone who fancied the princess. He doesn’t know if it was true or it was another machination from the crown prince but he knows for sure that it could spell trouble. As for the previous life, he didn’t pay close attention to the relationship that princess Alicia has but right now, he feels that it is more complicated than he originally thinks.
