By the time I was wide awake, realization dawned on me that I've been asleep for hours. Except for the lamp that was lit beside me, the room was dark. I could see the light on the hospital corridor and I could equally hear mutterings of people. Unlike then when I lay on the bed like a log of wood, I was feeling lightweight and fine.
“Hello?” I took off the drip carefully and watched myself heal. I took off the oxygen from my nose so I could breathe in the fresh air.
